Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-II
26 April 2012
Conclusion: While this game isn’t perfect, you can definitely tell that it’s a step in the right direction. You can expect to spend at least 30 hours in this game depending on how you approach the title. For myself, I clocked in around 75 hours seeing as I tried to do everything and see everything possible.
Summary: Like the first game, Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk 2 ends up being an average game. It fixes some of the biggest complaints from the first one but creates a brand new set of issues by failing at what the first game succeeded: a funny, satirical story that kept you engaged from beginning to end.
Excerpt: Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 (from now on just called Mk2) is the sequel to one of the most unique gaming concepts of 2011. Playing in the magical “Gamindustri”, a mystical re-imagining of the real life game industry, as a video game console personified as a girl, is at least an interesting idea.

Conclusion: Hyperdimension Neptunia was fun for a while but ultimately became a chore to play through. Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 fixes practically everything that was wrong with the original and provides a refreshing take on the RPG genre.
