  • Summary: There are some games you will come across that are completely forgettable. Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes is one such game that you will almost instantly forget you’ve even played by the game’s summation. First, you can forget about any grade-A quality rendition of the storyline. Everything is about as animated as a manga, and about as cheesy as one that’s been translated into English by terrible voice actors.

  • Summary: Take a theatrical sport whose contestants look like cosplayers who went berserk at the Anime Expo, and it would seem like you have an effortlessly winning game concept on your hands. Until Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring, however, Mexico's colorful and popular lucha libre style of wrestling largely went ignored by game developers, save for 2006's pitiful Nacho Libre for the DS and notable cameo appearances such as El Fuerte in last year's Street Fighter IV.
  • Pros: Many customization options for your luchador's mask, Well-detailed fighters
  • Cons: Unresponsive and inaccurate controls, Limited moveset, Luchadores are incredibly slow

Lucha Libre AAA: Heroes del Ring

Operation Sports
18 October 2010
  • Excerpt: In the US wrestling is largely synonymous with the WWE. There are smaller competitors, like TNA and ROH, but they are not large enough to compete on a grand scale. However, in Mexico and Latin America, there are other options, one of which is the Asistencia Asesoría y Administración, also known as AAA. AAA's style of wrestling is far different from the WWE, which is easily seen by watching matches of the promotion.
  • Pros: Good Graphics., Nice story progression., Good use of Lucha Libre.
  • Cons: Clunky controls., Inconsistent difficulty., Lack of content.

Review: Heroes Over Europe (Playstation 3)

Gametactics
7 December 2009
  • Conclusion: Bad design choices and mediocre graphics kill what could have been a fun shooter. Mindless gameplay can be fun in short bursts; but combine that with boring missions and so-so controls and you have a perfect recipe for disappointment.

No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise review

Gameplanet
13 March 2011
  • Excerpt: Konami has taken a risk porting a Wii title over to HD consoles. We take a look at the result on the PlayStation 3.
  • Pros: Absolutely bananas dialogue. Good doses of humour throughout. Some Move support. Playful tone. More bosses than Wii version.
  • Cons: Looks dated, even in HD. Santa Destroy is not only unnecessary but broken. Mandatory minigames bring the game to an absolute standstill. Zero replayability.

TEST: No More Heroes – Heroes’ Paradise

play3.de
8 June 2011
Was euch erwartet? Ein Möchtegern-Killer, jede Menge Pixelblut und ein Gameplay, das diesen Namen leider nur selten verdient.
