Summary: Story wise not a bad game, but you really cant call it a game, it's just a series of quick time events. This is the equivalent of watching a decent movie and occasionally having to press a button. The only reason i played this game more than once is to get the different endings/scenes, in the end though it's no different from reading a choose your own adventure book minus the imagination.
Summary: I think this one of the most interesting and enjoyable games I have played. I love games that are story heavy and immersive. If it wasn't for all of the QTEs breaking the flow of the game it would be 5 stars. Every time I start to get immersed I find myself forced into some awful controller juggling act or finger contortionism. A game should never take a player out of the fantasy.
Summary: I'm still trying to figure out why this game is rated so highly. Heavy Rain is a so-so story with little gameplay value. It involves walking around, opening doors, and doing other daily tasks. The gameplay boils down to two to three button presses during a quick time event, and if you don't press them at the right time, no worries, because the game will still end up doing the same thing most of the time.
Summary: I bought Heavy Rain after years of indecision - it dropped to a price that I thought was reasonable so I stumped up the cash and waited with eager anticipation. I received the game on Thursday, and I finished it on Saturday. That's not to say that I played it constantly - I would estimate that I played it for less than 15 hours, and maybe as few as 10.
Summary: bought this game and started playing it for 15 minutes and it got stuck, had to reset my ps3. tried again and everything was fine until about 30 minutes later it got to the loading part where a face comes up in the screen and fkn gets stuck again! had to reset my ps3 like about five times again and it always gets stuck on the same part. i just hope beyond two souls does not have the same problems as heavy rain.
"Interactive Drama" should be "Click-through Drama"

Summary: Pros: - Plot - Uniqueness Cons: - Characters - Dialogue - Button Sequences I'm normally a huge lover of alternative games, from Fatal Frame to Fallout. I thought I would love the interactive crime-solving aspect of this game. Looking back now, however, I'm a bit horrified now at all the reviews I read proclaiming this to be the "future" of gaming. I certainly hope not.
Summary: I started playing this game Monday and I finished it Thursday. It's like a long movie with a similar storyline we have seen before. The question is, is it worth forking out 60 bucks for? I say no. You barely have any control of your character and this game is extremely linear. Yes I do understand that the quick buttons scenes give you some control, but seriously it doesn't mean anything.
Summary: heavy rain is not a bad game a good twist to the story but having been a gamer from the very beginning from the days of the Atari tennis in the late seventy's so I have seen this type of game before over the years time again so for me it's nothing new.
