No gamplay + bad story = no fun

Adare2009 , GameStop
18 April 2014
  • Summary: One, there is hardly any game play. It's just pushing controller buttons when they tell you do it. Meanwhile, your watching what happens in the game like a movie and it is a terribly boring movie.

PASS UP Heavy Rain if you are a Gamer

jhise777, Ebay
18 March 2011
  • Summary: Know what you are getting yourself into. It is like playing the SIMS, but with less control. The concept is pretty legit and there are plenty of twists and turns that prevent you from fully predicting the outcome (18 different endings). I thought that would help me overcome the lack of control over your character, but not so much. If you are a gamer then this one is not for you.

Totally stupid

Witsend, amazon.co.uk
14 March 2014
  • Summary: I've read the reviews here and decided to buy. Firstly the graphics are great and the game sounds as if it has potential. However the task of programming the control functions of the game was clearly passed to a programmer with a drug problem. Rather than allowing to just walk around and play the game out, it requires you to shake the control move it up and down, do stupid things with each control, just to walk, defend and investigate in each scene.

  • Summary: The Amazon description says that this is a 15 game, hence I bought it for my son for Christmas. When the game arrived it is classified as 18 - buyers beware!

The most disappointing game I've ever played

John Ferrer, amazon.co.uk
14 October 2013
  • Summary: This "game" can be finished on the same day you've started playing it. There's so little content that no matter how much you've paid for it, it will be a total waste of money!! The story is quite simple, it never reaches any kind of excitement, just a set of detective events that will be concluded in a few hours. If you're expecting a game to have fun and enjoy for a long time, THIS IS NOT IT!!! You better buy a movie!

do NOT buy this version

Mike_H, amazon.co.uk
12 October 2011
  • Summary: people love or hate this game as can be seen from other reviews so i'm noy going to cover that side of things what i am going to do is cover this specific platinum version. ok, you get your heavy rain move edition (platinum) and you see the list of additional content on the box but what you dont know is its missing, this version comes on a single disc and in fact contains just the original non move edition of the game, once you load it you have to download a 1.2 gb patch...

Doesn't do what it says on the tin!

Daniel Sexton, amazon.co.uk
18 May 2011
  • Summary: This is not a review of Heavy Rain the game, rather this specific release 'Move Edition Platinum'. I bought Playstation Move and frankly I started to regret it as there seemed to be so few interesting games for it. Doing a bit of research it appears Heavy Rain is supposed to be great with the Move... Heavy Rain is, apparently, an excellent game. The idea of this particular release is that you feel even more immersed in the game with the Move controllers.
