Summary: I hated this. It's not a game, it's a slighty interactive movie. The "game" portion is great if you like Simon Says or an extremly limited Sims. They show an up arrow, you press up. That's all this is, the whole game. What the game says to press is not predictable which means, I can never get lost in the story. Even in the most intense parts, like fighting for my life, I can't really get into it because I have to watch for what button I need to press next.
Summary: Know what you are getting yourself into. It is like playing the SIMS, but with less control. The concept is pretty legit and there are plenty of twists and turns that prevent you from fully predicting the outcome (18 different endings). I thought that would help me overcome the lack of control over your character, but not so much. If you are a gamer then this one is not for you.
Summary: If this game were half the game Indigo Prophecy was, I would have been happy. But Heavy Rain is awful. It is stupidly pedantic, there is no action, the interface is horrible, the story is thin and predictable... and did I mention that it is boring? Don't buy this game. I expected better from the makers of Indigo Prophecy.
Summary: I've read the reviews here and decided to buy. Firstly the graphics are great and the game sounds as if it has potential. However the task of programming the control functions of the game was clearly passed to a programmer with a drug problem. Rather than allowing to just walk around and play the game out, it requires you to shake the control move it up and down, do stupid things with each control, just to walk, defend and investigate in each scene.
Summary: This "game" can be finished on the same day you've started playing it. There's so little content that no matter how much you've paid for it, it will be a total waste of money!! The story is quite simple, it never reaches any kind of excitement, just a set of detective events that will be concluded in a few hours. If you're expecting a game to have fun and enjoy for a long time, THIS IS NOT IT!!! You better buy a movie!
Summary: people love or hate this game as can be seen from other reviews so i'm noy going to cover that side of things what i am going to do is cover this specific platinum version. ok, you get your heavy rain move edition (platinum) and you see the list of additional content on the box but what you dont know is its missing, this version comes on a single disc and in fact contains just the original non move edition of the game, once you load it you have to download a 1.2 gb patch...
Summary: I ordered this game thinking i would get heavy rain move edition cert 18, what i recieved was the platinum edition and a cert 15. I dont buy platinum editions so i sent this item back. dissapointed as i really wanted to play the game.
Summary: This is not a review of Heavy Rain the game, rather this specific release 'Move Edition Platinum'. I bought Playstation Move and frankly I started to regret it as there seemed to be so few interesting games for it. Doing a bit of research it appears Heavy Rain is supposed to be great with the Move... Heavy Rain is, apparently, an excellent game. The idea of this particular release is that you feel even more immersed in the game with the Move controllers.
Summary: Look I'm going to be strait to the point and brief with this, I've heard better voice acting in a Monkey Island game. The graphics are wonderful yes but I'm sorry the voice over work in this is terrible, it's like listening to Steven Hawking same at some points. Stiff and blunt and frankly devoid of emotion despite what people seem so keen on gushing over in this "game".
