Summary: This year's Harry Potter game engulfs the player in a cinematic and movie like experience that past versions have lacked. Although it has a couple of graphical and gameplay hitches, this immersive experience is something for all Harry Potter fans to try.
Pros: Bonus features and many extras to unlock., No HUD immerses players., Environments are direct adaptations from the film.
Cons: Mediocre animations., Graphical issues such as tearing., Dull cut scenes.
PS3 Review - 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix'
28 September 2007
Summary: In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry returns for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts and discovers that much of the wizarding community is in denial about the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort, preferring to turn a blind eye to the news that Voldemort has returned.
Conclusion: THE VERDICT: It's not a Grand Theft game, no matter how many wit machines out there say otherwise. Myself included. But Order of the Pheonix is, naturally, recommended to all Potter fans with any sort of modern-day games machine.
Summary: The Harry Potter series of books has captured both the minds of children and adults alike. The movies haven't disappointed either and are amongst the highest grossing films of all time. For some reason, the video games that have been released haven't been able to reach the same level of quality that the movies and books have achieved. The latest game, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, continues that trend.
Pros: Hogwarts is re-created in all its glory for you to explore, Minigames are a pleasant diversion, Voice acting and music are good
Cons: The game is little more than a virtual reality chore simulator, Endless backtracking makes the game even more dull, Cutscenes are glitchy and feel unfinished, Nearly everything about the game is tedious, Story is impossible to follow if you haven't read the book
