Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince game review
Boys' Life magazine
9 October 2009
Excerpt: Could the new Harry Potter game use more magic? There’s some good news and some bad news, depending on which version you play. I’m afraid I have to tell you to stay away from the handheld versions. Both the PSP and DS games are pretty similar. In some ways, they just don’t look finished and corners have been cut. In an adventure game that isn’t too full of true adventure, the gamemakers add a lot that isn’t in the book, and it’s boring stuff.
Conclusion: Again, I like what EA has done here. I think they have put their development team to work and asked for something that is better than The Order of the Phoenix. What EA has delivered is definitely an improvement, but it still needs a lot more work to make it solid. This game is a lot better than many movie licensed games (see Judge Dread for details).
Summary: As always, the latest Harry Potter spin-off is slated to appear on every active gaming format on the planet. This time, though, it’s all about the Wii. Developed primarily for Nintendo’s gaming gizmo as part of the blitzkrieg of merchandise heralding the release of the new movie – and ported across to other consoles that utilise more traditional controls to weave magic – Half-Blood Prince delivers some of the best Wii gesture-based action to date, with players using...

Excerpt: Anyone who has read the book should be able to get the most out of the game, especially if they’ve found the latest film disappointing Back to school already? Oh wait its Hogwarts. Half Blood Prince is the Sixth book in the Harry Potter series and with the film just been recently released there’s a video game. If you’ve read through the Half Blood Prince should know most of the plots and twist with thrills and chills.
Pros: Lots of references to the original Harry Potter fiction, Potions can be fun to play as a mini-game.
Cons: Gameplay consists of only three different activities that get old fast, Story is difficult to follow if you haven’t read the book, Character models and voice acting are subpar, Main story is a little short, No online Wizarding duels.
Conclusion: Kontrollere gelecek olursak birkaç nokta dışında oldukça akıcı tasarlandığını söyleyebilirim.
