Summary: Had to tear guitar apart and clean what appeared to be chocolate off of the computer chip that the buttons are connected to, because one button was registering the one next to it.. Thought the add had said "tested" and all buttons worked...
Summary: I purchased this from auction and wish I would have just bought it new. The stand to the drums was missing, so I had to build one out of PVC piping costing me time and money. The guitar's whammy bar was broken (always on) so that sucks. The game is OK.
Summary: I ordered a PS3 Les Paul wireless guitar hero controller on July 24th 2012. I ended up receiving two xbox 360 controllers and a game about two weeks after my purchase. I sent a nasty-gram to amazon.com about my incorrect order. They were kind about the misunderstanding and had UPS pick up the incorrect order from my house. I then received an email asking for a review of my order.
Summary: Got this back in Nov 08 and it's unplayable after 6 months of 2x/week play by my girlfriend who plays bass on medium. In contrast I play the offical GHWT guitar on hard and it still plays great. The strum doesn't register all the time so it misses about 5-10% of the notes. When she plays on the official guitar she does 5-10% better (as do I). It's also smaller and flimsier than the GHWT guitar.
Wireless Les Paul for PS3 does not work with Guitar Hero 1, 2 or Rocks the 80s when played on PS3
15 March 2010
Summary: The PS3 Les Paul Wireless controller for Guitar Hero 3 DOES NOT WORK for any of the PS2 Guitar Hero games when played on a PS3 (i.e. - Guitar Hero 1, 2 or Rocks the 80's). In other words - you cannot play GH1, 2 or rocks the 80's on the PS3 with the PS3 wireless Les Paul controller. There is no news of a software/firmware update for PS3 that will remedy this or of porting GH1, GH2 or rocks the 80s to the PS3 so they will work properly on the PS3.
Summary: I have the GHWT kit and needed an extra axe. I picked up the Legends of Rock Slash les paul double guitar/game set. The guitar is shorter than the stock GH guitar so playing it while sitting is painful because its too short for an average sized adult. It feels like your playing a child's toy. The action is rough and laggy due to the sloppiness in the strum bar.
Summary: I'm a huge Guitar Hero fan. The design of this product is fantastic. But the responsiveness is where it sucks. Let me explain why. It will work great for people on Easy and Medium. But when it comes to Hard and Expert, it will not be very willing to cooperate. The guitar uses a 2.4Ghz wireless USB dongle instead of the PS3's built-in Bluetooth (Great, I have to search for it if I lose it).
Summary: I have had this for a few months now... this guitar is just not built to last. This is my 2nd ps3 guitar to start having trouble with reception, the buttons stop working and ruin the game-play. I think that they purposely sell this in two pieces so the connector pieces will eventually break down. I had the slash guitar before this, same problem.
