Summary: Having played the Guitar Hero series since the first one in 2005. For me the series hit it's peak creatively and musically with Guitar Hero 3. Saying that Guitar Hero 5 is an okay game their are some good song's and the gameplay has remained mainly the same. Guest musicians such as Kurt Cobain and Johnny Cash are also available to be unlocked through the career mode which is a nice touch.
Conclusion: If you like great rock, this is not the best guitar hero game at all. All the new features does not do anything for me, if what you are looking is a great game to rock out with, you are way better off with guitar hero van halen, metallica, greatest hits or world tour. Some great tunes of course but I was pretty bored half of the time.

Summary: Most of you will have played a Guitar Hero or Rock Band game before. This game functions in exactly the same way - you get to pretend to be a hero on guitar, bass, drums, or vocals. The new stuff that's great are: * Joining in any time: excellent for when people just want to join in, no pressure. They can even drop out if they fancy it, again no worries.
Summary: Guitar Hero 5 was set to improve on Guitar Hero: World Tour and fix the little issues that had started to annoy people. I can honestly say that Guitar Hery 5 has succeeded in doing that, and yet I can't say I enjoy playing it very much - in fact, I've played it for only a few hours since buying it, and now it stays in it's case while Guitar Hero: World Tour has the privilege of actually staying in my Playstation 3.
Pros: Online play is fun, same gameplay format as GH:WT
Guitar Hero 5 (PS3): Poor set list marrs the game's few improvements...

Summary: The Guitar Hero series reinvented itself with the release of Guitar Hero: World Tour in late 2008, which attempted to capitalise on the success of their main competior, Rock Band, who had introduced drums and vocal play to the excellent guitar play established by the Guitar Hero games.
Excerpt: "Guitar Hero 5 is part of the famous guitar heor music franchise. It has always been a very popular game and has always shown newbies to rock music new bands and has always given you a realistic expierience to a rock gig. I have always loved the Guitar Hero games but the latest i found a little dissapointing. Good features - I enjoyed the fact that there is a party play mode so u can just drop in and out of a song at any time, or even just watch ...
Pros: Graphics, Kurt Cobain
Cons: Setlist, drums and microphone peripherals take away from the name ''Guitar'' Hero
Summary: Obviously the game industry is very aware of the succes of Guitar Hero. Yes, there are some good songs in this game but indeed is it worth nearly £40? I think not! It seems that that the developers put a few tracks on there that appeal to a lot of players but the majority of tracks do not make the grade. Of course this way they can bring out Guitar Hero 6 in a few months. Why don't they split it up in Rock, Hard-Rock, Heavy Metal ect per game.
