Summary: The game graphics are great and crashes spectacular!! Only downside is limited choice of cars. I definitely would recommend this though dont expect the amount of choice in vehicles like in forza or gran turismo.
Summary: Hands down, my favorite PS3 car racing game is "Grid" by Codemasters. I have loved all the Gran Turismo games except for the über annoying license tests and robotic, predictable AI cars and inability to damage your car. GT5 finally solved the latter problem, but the license tests, while modified to be less annoying qualifiers, are still there to frustrate racers (especially if you're not that good -like me-), and the computer cars/ drivers are as predictable and as...
Summary: Most gamers have preferences, I like racing games that are less arcade like, I know it's hard to call any race games on the PS3 true "simulation". My Favorite Racers : F1: 2010 , Gran Turismo 5 , Dirt 3 and Shift Unleashed (after the patch). Racers That Don't Interest Me : Paradise City, Split Second, Need For Speed, Motorstorm and the like. BEST FEATURE: The thing I like most about this game, and I'm still enjoying it in 2011, is the competitiveness of the AI.
Summary: Great menus, terrific variety of gameplay and racing disciplines, something for everyone. Great sounds. The engine sounds of the Porsche at Le Mans is unbeatable. Simple game to play but a lot of time to master. I didn't realize how much I liked drifting until I got this game. The damage modeling is supurb. Great value for money.
Summary: I think that this game is pretty cool and this is the only racing game on PS3 that I can say that I liked. It can be as challenging or easy as you want considering there is like 5-6 difficulty levels. The crashes in the game are pretty realistic and thats one of the reasons I like it so much. Career mode is really fun and gives you a lot of control over your character. One of the things that I like the most is the in-car view and the teammate system.
Summary: When GRID was released in 2008, it had some serious competion for PS3 owners looking at racers. At the time Gran Turismo 5: Prologue had just been released a month earlier. Xbox 360 owners weren't as fortunate. Other than Forza 2 and Project Gotham Racing 4 there weren't many other worthwile racers to play on the 360 then. GRID never got much media promotion and was seldom advertised.
