History: Great Battles Medieval

Strategy Informer

  • Conclusion: For both the experienced strategy player and the newcomer, History: Great Battles Medieval lacks the direction to satisfy either demographic. Although there's a large amount of content in the form of two long campaigns, a skirmish mode, tug-o-war and multiplayer, you'll rarely come across a battle that's particularly epic or impressive.

History Great Battles Medieval review

  • Conclusion: Despite playing Great Battles Medieval on a console, the game didn’t control or feel awkward in the slightest. The game boasts historical accuracy, and that’s exactly what it delivers. Being able to customise the armies, as well as being able to zoom into the battleground to watch things unfold are nice touches. Whether you’re a history lover, or a strategy enthusiast, I highly recommend History Great Battles Medieval.
  • Pros: The game is historically accurate. Controls rather well and has some interesting documentary footage.
  • Cons: The graphics aren’t pleasing at all. Can’t control single units. More players in the multiplayer would be good.
