Summary: Just received this item about an hour ago, plugged it in and got it set up only for it to overheat and turn off, I tried several more times to turn it back on but it immediately turned itself back off each time. I called playstation support and they offered to fix it but said it would take about 3 weeks to have it back so I called amazon and they offered to ship another one out to me as soon as possible and send me something to ship the defective one back in.
Summary: I do not agree with the games output on things. In this game well, it makes women look like good for nothing items. It puts that view in to real life people so they then act that way in real life. This game like its predesesors look the same. It's not worth paying for if that's the way the outlook towards life is like that.
As the hype wears off the game's shortcomings become more clear

Summary: This is not a hater review. I've played all GTA games since before they were 3D. I like all GTA games but I'm getting frustrated with the same issues. GTA 5 entertains and is fun for a while. After you beat the main story line things get boring fast. This is a great game but because Rockstar has had so many chances to fix these issues I'm rating it 2 stars. Rockstar keeps upgrading the graphics and mechanics, but not things that I really want.
Summary: There are two parts to GTA. The single player and the online. Each part gets 5 stars. I give the single player 3/5 stars. I give the online 0/5 stars. for a total of 3/10. Some of the missions are repetitive. You go to the same places a lot which gets boring. There are still glitches in the single player. Since the online has come out have not been able to access it due to servers being down.
Tedious- just give me San Andreas with HD graphics and be done with it!

Summary: My background- I love the first open world GTA game and played it for a long time. Got the tank and did some serious rampaging, police rampages, etc. Great times, funny missions, funny characters- Joey and his garage, bomb dude... Loved it. Got me through a bad spot of unemployment where I didn't have much to do for 6 months. Loved Vice City- great 80s tune, different Miami look of game, fun missions. Loved San Andreas- cool biking, mountains and hick areas. Loved it.
Summary: I have to admit that I got caught up in the hype for GTA V I enjoyed GTA 4 so I pre-ordered the game and I was playing by the 19th of September. First, I have to agree with a lot of other reviewers that the graphics in this version of GTA are really no better than GTA 4 or even 3. You would think with over $200 million in development for this game Rock Star would have gotten a clue and made their characters look and move like real people.
Summary: I bought this game because this was everyone around me was talking about. The hype for GTA 5 is insane. Is it worth it? Not in my opinion. The game basically does everything that you can do in real life. But whats the point of playing this game when I already have a life. Sure doing cool stunts here and there is fun, but for $60? No thank you. This game added a lot to the series, but if you already have GTA IV, then I would wait until this game has a price drop.
Summary: I received my package yester day and everything worked fine, my only issue is with the fact that I PREORDERED GTA5 and I did not receive the instruction sheet for the blimp vehicle that was supposed to be included with all pre orders.
Summary: The story mode has interesting characters and lots to do. However, a major feature of this game was the ability to do those activities with your friends. This is not possible with the current servers. This game is not worth the price tag for the single player story alone. If you plan to play with your friends, it is best to wait for official announcements on fixes otherwise you are wasting your time, money, and effort. Servers also randomly delete your online characters.
