Summary: I'll probably trade this game in for another fitness game later, but for now, it helps to change up my workout routine and it's still cheaper than the gym. This review will need to be updated my after I've played the other sections, but here's what I've come away with after my very first workout with the system -- I like that setting up a profile is fairly simple, and the menus are really easy to navigate and simple to understand. The ugly: the actual exercising.
Summary: This is a great idea but it just doesn't seem carried through. The pro side has been covered generally in that the scenery is nice. The video is reasonably well done. It's more than just a simple exercise video. Shortcomings: 1) I found some of the "fun" moves not easy to do first few times out. There should be some immediate tutorial instead of jumping right into it and having to guess what the tutorial is after you're part of the way through the exercise, e.g.
Summary: The work out is easy to follow. An image of you is super imposed over a background which is neat. Not sure why the dance games do not do that. After I entered my vitals, I was not able to change users and everyone is stuck working out to my statistics.
Summary: I bought this game a while ago, hoping it would get me to work out. From what I remember, if you do more than a 30 minute work out you just keep repeating sets of a few exercises....I found I was really bored with this. The camera angle was hard to set up. I have a shallow living room so I had to stand in the farthest corner of the room & tweak the camera.
Summary: I was super excited to get the game, after 4 workouts I am not so thrilled about it. It is getting frustrating really fast. Here are the issues I have encountered so far: 1. Each set of exercises is limited to 15 min and then you repeat the set for the total of 30 min. To me this is kind of annoying, because you go through standing exercises, ball, weights, floor and then all over again, so certain amount of time is lost and you cool down while getting weights on and off...
Summary: I have to agree with many of the things previously said. However, there are two things that majorly bother me: -The first is that there's too much time between exercises. I usually follow classes and videos where the exercises build on each other in a combo and there's no down time - no time to even rest for a second between exercises. In this game, there's not a TON of time between exercises, but it's enough to get a little annoyed.
good fun - girlfriend prefers it to Activ 2 but not used last 2 months!

Summary: Bought this for my girlfriend who is a big keep fit fan & loves to exercise in the front room to celeb DVDs! We also bought the EA Games Activ 2 & we have both found that the Mel B is much better than the Activ 2 (which comes with loads of sensors & just feels a bit dull) Good fun, but how long you will get use from this is debatable...neither of us has put this game on in the last 2 months, so I suspect that it has limited appeal...hence why it only gets 3 stars.
