This game is just an insult, both to my intelligence and to the Final Fantasy series. Attrocious.

Summary: I've been playing Final Fantasy since I was 11 years old, and it is hands down my absolute favorite game franchise ever. In the beginning, if a certain game system didn't have Final Fantasy in its game lineup, I wouldn't buy it...but after playing this unlucky 13th installment, that's no longer my attitude. The absence of Sakaguchi, the original creator of the series, is very much apparent in this game, even more so than the also-horrendous Final Fantasy 12.
Summary: Arguments have raged for decades about which Final Fantasy game is the best in the series. Square must have been tired of this debate, because they put in what must have been an extraordinary effort to create the very worst game in the series, and a serious contender for the very worst video game of all time. Truly, my command of the English language is simply not up to the task of conveying how awful an atrocity this game is. It's not merely slapped together.
This is one of the worst Final Fantasy games - ever!

Summary: Where to start... Ok.. The characters seem as if they are meant for a child at the age of 8 years old. As the game develops, the characters make random comments while walking, the gestures they produce are confusing (walking around people and turning their backs, ect), the artwork is silly (Lightning, aka, "Light" - dumb name, walks with a sword smacking her legs as she walks), there is a boy named Hope and he enjoys falling on the ground and begging for his life while...
Summary: As someone who has previously played the Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII games on PC, I have to say that Final Fantasy XIII leaves a LOT to be desired. The story line is extremely linear, and essentially all you do is run around. There is nothing engaging to the story line, which meant that I played it for about 5 hours and gave up. Extremely disappointing, and it does not deserve the "Final Fantasy" title.
Summary: I specifically bought a PS3, to play Final Fantasy games. If FF13,is any indication,I have wasted my money. This game is a spruced up edition of Sir Tech's "Heart of the Maelstrom",without the humor or the challenge. If you want to run down an endless dungeon, with endless, annoying cutscenes, fighting the same monsters, over and over and over,again...enjoy. No real storyline,it drags up various previous charaters from FF(beautifully portrayed,I do admit)...
Summary: Tried this Final fantasy game after hearing all the hype. I will say to you that this game is overrated for sure and boring. The game play is downright awful and I am not sure what people see in this game.
Summary: Final Fantasy XIII was the game that finally made me officially give up on this now-pathetic series of CGI Slideshows posing as role playing games. Every character design in this game is derivative of at least 100 animu characters that came before them. You have no control over your party in battle beyond shifting "Paradigms," which are really just fighting styles for your uncontrollable teammates.
Summary: I like to actually play video games, interact with them via a controller... with Final Fantasy 13 you can start up the game and do other things, I'm "playing" Final Fantasy 13 as I write this in fact! Wow, I am able to be much more productive at doing other things with this video game. I cooked dinner and they even will fight without you....
Summary: There is almost nothing about this game that is Final Fantasy... This game has very limited RPG elements and is really only a RPG in name. At no point in time can you walk around and talk to anyone (no missions or secrets to find). It plays literally like a linear action game. No incentives to level up or find new weapons or armor it's all pretty much the same. You can literally beat the game holding X and the Analog stick forward, no need for srtategy.
