Excerpt: This was the first game I got when I was lucky enough to get a PlayStation 3. I had the choice of a free game, along with the console as part of a bundle offer. This one appealed to me out the choice on offer. I had never played a Fifa title before, or any other full football based games from any provider. I think I'd played a free demo of a PES football game on my PC, but that was pretty much it. I wasn't really a football player when it came to gaming.
Excerpt: I have been a football gamer for over fifteen years now (whoa, I feel like a geek!) and this is the first time I've not felt compelled to play them. In recent years I have skipped between Pro Evolution Soccer (Pro Ev) and Fifa, renting them both and buying whichever one I enjoyed playing more. After a couple of years playing Pro Ev, I moved back to Fifa for Fifa 09.
Summary: FIFA 2010 is a good upgrade to 2009. The graphics are much better and I love the 360-degree movement of the players. However, the game has some serious bugs when playing online that have been reported in various discussion boards. It becomes quite frustrating when playing when the game locks up. Electronic Arts needs to do an upgrade so that these bugs are fixed.
Summary: This game isn't bad and can be fun in in small bursts. The biggest problem I have with this game is that you cannot dribble in this game. It is virtually impossible to beat a defender. Someone skillful like Messi therefore is as effective as a fast player with no skill like Agbonlahor. It feels like all the players are the same except for pace and strength. most goals come from counter attacks and the only way to move the ball towards goal is by passing.
