Summary: OH MY GOSH, THIS IS THE WORST GAME EVER MADE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AND DONT LET THE TITLE AND GRAPHICS FOOL YOU. IT IS DAMN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING IN THIS GAME. THE STEERING IS AWFUL AND U CANNOT EVEN WIN A RACE I CANT BELIEVE FERRARI EVEN LET THIS GAME BE RELEASED. I TRIED TO TRADE IT IN AT GAMESTOP AND THEY OFFERED MY $1.25 STORE CREDIT..
Summary: I hate to give such a low rating, because the game itself isn't particularly horrible (although it is painfully dated and can't be remotely compared to state of the art games like GT5,) but either I have a defective product or it has an unbelievably bad drawback - the engine sound. There are 5 step-downs of the view of the track you can use - from overhead shots of the car to nose camera view - which I prefer.
Summary: The French sociologist Emile Durkheim said (paraphrasing here) that any group together long enough will begin to worship itself. I think this is clearly shown in the contents of this game, most of which consists of shameless self-worship by Ferrari, but little else. Certainly not a playable or enjoyable game. I'm a huge fan of Ferrari: the kind of irrational, annoying fan you don't want to get into a conversation with. (E.g.
Summary: The ONE available car is exactly equal to the AI driven cars, which make NO mistakes . . . ever . . . so, since you always start last, the best you can hope for is to finish LAST . . . every time. FORGET IT. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a WAY BETTER game with challenging opponents and a variety of cars and tracks that can be beaten . . . or at least finished respectably.
Summary: After reading most of the reviews I felt comfortable enough to go out and purchase the game. After having GT5 Prologue, I was accustomed to realistic driving so I thought this was going to be similar if not the same...I was absolutely wrong. Once you turn off all aids (serious players) the car does not respond like real life. Braking and steering are NOT sensitive unlike GT5 prologue. This game is weak and at best and arcade racing game...far from the real deal.
Summary: Don't waste your time or money. The cars handle like mush. SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWW reactions, no brakes... If real Ferraris drove like the ones in this game, they would be out of business quick. F1 Championship Edition is light-years ahead of this game. The team that created this turd should be banned from making ANY kind of driving game for life. It's exclusive to PS3, probably gecause no one else wanted it...
Excerpt: Control is awful graphically very average nothing special online play extemely laggy when you can find someone to race that is, took me over an hour to find someone online. IGN reviews were quite good for this game but I have to say I totally disagree with those not a very good game in my opion GT 5 pro is far far superior on the PS3
Conclusion: Chances are if you like ferrari's you'll have cast at least a sideways glance at this title. Well I did, and have been left totally dissapointed with this game. The main problem is there is no point at all to this game. There is nothing new, the car choice is very limited (obviously) But with great racers already on the market like GRID, and with GT5 coming out sometime in the future, there are much better options available.
