Summary: Fallout 3 GOTY is one of my all time favorite games. Its epic in scope. Its entertaining, always dangling the proverbial carrot on a stick in front of the player. Fallout 3 has exploration, strategy elements, FPS gunplay, resource management, missions beyond belief. Not to mention the 5 DLC packs included on the disc. Its a whole lot of gaming for the money.
Summary: As a fan of another Bethesda hit Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, I had expected this game to have a lot of similarities to that game. I was pleasantly surprised to find this game far more engrossing overall. Many compare this as a inferior game in comparison, however, I would garner to say this is a far better game. Of course, I am a fan of Sci-fi and not so much one of Fantasy, therefore, perspective is skewed in that manner.
Summary: The game is great. I wouldn't worry too much about the previous review about the glitch because the same thing would happen to me even when i was playing the original version of the game without the add ons. It would temporarily freeze but resume normally. Never had a problem with my hard drive either.
Summary: Its to be expected of the creators of elder scrolls oblivion, bethesda, that they would make another great master piece of a game. Fallout 3 when it first came out was pritty much labeled as awesome from people like us to tv shows and magazines. I personally loved just the freerome aspect of the game. Adding in its really currently the only shooter that really allows you to do that (untill borderlands comes out and fallout new vegas).
Summary: Once again a game that gets better the further you get into it. You do tend to die a lot early on (or at least I did) but as you progress you get beter weapons and armour and the puzzles are testing as well. Found some of the Labrynths a bit tedious unless you are one of those gamers that map every footstep but that aside it is a wonderful game. The downside is the number of slowdowns and total crashes you have to endure.
Summary: This four year old game has been reviewed extensively so in keeping with my other RPG reviews, I'm going to try and give a female gamer perspective on it. First of all, if you have the choice, get the xbox version. I've played both and the xbox version runs better and crashes less often. It's particularly noticeable when you're high level and are working through the DLC. So you want to be a post-apocalyptic gun toting bad-ass chick? This game is definitely worth a look.
