Summary: I had this game a while back. Wasn't much in the genre I liked to play (not really into RPGs), but seemed decent to pass the time with. My biggest gripe about this game is the fact that it would lock up randomly and often. It was so bad that I traded it in the day after it locked up 4 times on me in a matter of 2 hours. Ridiculous. No working patches from Bethesda. Just. Pure. Junk.
Summary: The fact that there is not some sort of quality control in place for either the seller or consoles in which this game is played on is criminal. It is nothing short of fraud to sell something that is so broken before any use. This game is fantastic for the short amount of time that it plays without freezing and crashing, which this will vary depending how exactly you play the game, but will be inevitable in the end.
Summary: I bought this for PC and thoroughly enjoyed the main game, bugs and all. However -- nothing I do will get the DLC included on Disc 2 to play. I have signed into LIVE, and gone through every step, but nada. Frankly -- I paid $40 for an all inclusive experience and all I got was the original game -- which is worth about $15 these days. Pissed off? You bet. I will never buy another Bethesda game, or play any game that requires "Games for Windows" again. Total fail.
Summary: Fallout 3's Game of the Year Edition appears to be a good game, but it freezes up. I enjoy playing what I can play, but the PlayStation freezes because of software glitches. I would not recommend purchasing this game with all the problems that it has.
Summary: Fallout 3 for a while I was extremely addicted to but after so many hours of gameplay the game started freezing and the framerate began to slow down, eventually it just froze every 10-15 minutes, forcing me to turn off the power. I wasnt able to finish the game because it just got so bad This is such a waste because the game is truly awesome but is ruined severly because of all these problems.
Summary: This game was very cool in the beginning of it but by the time I blew up a small town, it bored me. There was too much freedom. There were times I just stood still to think what to do. I had way too many missions going on at once that i just brought it back to gamestop because i was getting frustrated.
Summary: You cant go 20 minutes with out this game freezing on you. By freezing I mean you will have to push the disc eject button on your console to move past the totally unresponsive still image on your tv screen because the eject button will be the only button you have that yields a responce. Lets be clear this is one of the greatest games ever. Its just a shame that the GOTY version has it locked away in a package that cant deliver it.
Summary: I owned Fallout 3 and it's an awesome game. The regular edition disk had some freezing problems but it really didn't impact the great time I had playing the game. Unfortunately, I traded in the regular edition and got the game of the year edition so I could play the download content (DLC). What a mistake...the DLC is a mess with constant freezing that makes it almost unplayable. Check anywhere on the internet..
Summary: No suspense. Endless periods of time just roaming around. Crappy combat (about the worst I've ever seen). A lot of irrelevant crap in the storyline. This was definitely not my money's worth. I've been trying to trade this game in since last year with no luck since No one wants it. This is my worst purchase.
Summary: Two words: Oblivion and Fallout 3. Ok that was, technically, four words. My point is both are unplayable after certain points in the game in the GoTY editions. Should we, as consumers, really be giving our money to a company who cannot produce a product that actually works? Personally speaking, I will not. I will NOT buy from Bethesda unless they can, like supposedly lesser outfits, give us games that work. I will NOT give them my money! They don't deserve it.
