Summary: I have not played the first FEAR, but overall the game is pretty good. - Graphics are amazing on the PS3 - Storyline is interesting - Voice overs match the character - Gameplay is smooth, transitions well from one level to the next
Summary: I have always shied away from horror games, not because I'm a wuss or anything, I just don't like being on edge all the time. I was very dubious about picking this up as it's predecessor has one hell of a reputation for being scary. Thankfully while the game is still very creepy and there are a few "WTF!" moments sprinkled here and there, the ride was still a ton of fun.
Summary: Although it is not a five stars game it is pretty fun to play. The slow motion deaths are spectacularly well done and the gameplay is good. I will not give five stars because this game is not in the same level as Killzone 2, Uncharted, etc.
Summary: I have not written many reviews and do not consider myself as creative as other writers. However, I felt it necessary to take the time to write this to encourage others just how good this game is. This game has variety, different environments and looks and boy...is...it...creepy. I guarentee you will jump. The story line will keep you intrigued (I do not want to offer any spoilers.
Summary: This game was great but like any other sequel it felt like a second part and didn't really bring anything to the table that was different from the first one. Sure it had a few very cool new features but it had the whole "this is where the story is this is where its going now" feel to it. I loved playing it .. it was tons of fun but it wasn't nearly as scary as the first one was.
Summary: This game is excellent, bar none. The audio in the game make it feel like you are playing out a movie - you really need SOMETHING to truly showcase this! I was waiting for the rest of my home theater to arrive from Amazon, and had the following: Sony STRDH820 7.2 Receiver (1) BIC FH-65 Bookshelf speaker The sound from just one speaker was breathtaking. It made every graphic instance, combat scenario, and simply going through the levels THAT much more intense!
Summary: Well, not exactly, but I would venture to say that "F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin" is very close to "Silent Hill" in a FPS format, minus all of the item collecting. I never played the first one, so I was skeptical going in whether or not I'd be able to follow the story. I am happy to say that you'll have no problem playing this one without having played the first game.
Excerpt: "I'm quite a fan of horror games and I remember playing the first fear that ever came out on PC. The game was awesome, it kept me glued to my seat the whole time and yes there were time where I jump and almost screamed because Alma was hunting me. Now many years later they decided to bring out Fear 2 after they rereleased fear for the PS3 and Xbox 360, I don't know if it got more sales on these systems but for some reason they decided bring out another? ...
