Conclusion: I Was Really Excited But It Turned Out To Be Boring. The Pet Hardly Listens To You.All It Does Is Walks Around. The Day I Got It I Played It For 2 Hours Trying To Figure Out How It Works But Since Then Never Played It
Conclusion: I played with the eye pet for about a year and my 3 and 4 year old loved it. However it was always sightly hard work as a parent, until Move support was added. Unfortunately, at around the same time as Move support appeared, Kinectimals became available for the xbox and my kids have completely forgotten about Eye Pet. The difference between the two titles is night and day. If you only have a PS3 get Eye Pet - it's a great title that won't disapppoint.
EyePet - with Camera and Magic Card (PS3): good concept not backed up by poor technology
31 May 2010
Summary: I bought this game recently for my 4 year old son to play, having a PS3 there is a seriously limited amount of kids games available, so I thought right at least he will have something to play with. It didnt take long to set the camera up, but then you have to follow the on screen instructions and set up the magic card on the floor. This took ages to do, after that you then have to do things like stroke the egg, heat the egg, rock the egg to help it to hatch.
Summary: Okay we first saw this game advertised on TV and thought it looked really good and as it was quite cheap we thought we'd buy it for something to do at xmas! Plugging the camera in and so on is really easy to do! then on screen instructions to tell you where to put the camera and stuff, so everything was sorted and we was ready to go! Bare in mind that this game is for children and everyone in my house is older than 20 years old! First you have to hatch the egg!
Summary: I bought this game for my 3 year old son. The camera was what i was after. The camera is ok, but the game is just not done right. Too slow to start, not easy to have a quick bit of fun and a lot of work to set up properly. The magic card was a drag.
