Eat Lead tries to be a parody of all genres of shooters... but fails in the most generic of ways.

Kvids, Amazon
28 August 2014
  • Summary: Eat Lead tries to be a parody of all genres of shooters... but fails in the most generic of ways. First of all, this game boasted the voice talent of Neil Patrick Harris, but after 2 hours into the game, his voice is nowhere to be heard.

Eat Lead: A Parody of Itself

R. Garrelts, Amazon
2 June 2010
  • Summary: Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is a parody of the video game industry. Anyone having grown up with video games in the past 20 years will probably find something humorous in Eat Lead. Though developer `Vicious Cycle' is quite possibly making fun of its own heavily clichéd and flawed game.

d_gus, Ebay
10 August 2009
  • Summary: MY SUMMARY: Rent, don’t buy. Play it on Minimum or Moderate Hazard. Laugh. Return. The platinum trophy is not worth the frustratingly-hard gameplay. PROS HUMOROUS DIALOGUE EXCELLENT VOICE ACTING: Characters say ridiculous lines with so much conviction.

Terrific Premise But Fails Where It Counts--Gameplay!

MARK DESANTO ""I Eat Games"", Amazon
12 May 2009
  • Summary: Within minutes of starting Eat Lead you will learn that Matt Hazzard was a big celebrity back in the 80s where he starred in a string of very successful video games. Since then he has unfortunately plummeted off the charts (due to making a Mario Kart type game) and been out of work.

Good premise but lacking in all other areas!

Subkulture, Play.com

  • Conclusion: Well the title say's it all sound's good on paper having a action video game character from a game inside a game whilst making fun of other video games but playing 90% of this game I had to put it down because of bad choices in design, controls and humour.

Not bad but bad

I. Heise, Amazon
23 November 2009
  • Summary: Well, this game has got two big problems. First the graphics - they are very poor for a next gen game. Second the controls - although easy to handle you can't shoot without zoom. So you need to zoomaim, even if your enemy is just 10 foot away.
