Summary: Being an old school anime fan, and a video game collector of sorts, this games series has some good qualities. But, the tendency being for 'modern' anime to put children in charge of war machines and the incessant whining and over bearing philosophizing and angst from the majority if the character assembled, annoys me. Its distracting and when you think about it, would not be tolerated by any military or fighting org. involved in conflict.
Summary: I was a big fan of Gundam Wing and enjoyed playing Dynasty Warriors ever since Playstation two. I thought that with both of them combined I would thoroughly enjoy the game. However, I ended up being a little disappointed. The game overall was a little dull. I was impressed with the graphics but it wasn't enough to satisfy the overall Dynasty Warrior feeling and the cartoon-ish dialog made it worse. Sometimes your attacks would lag or it wouldn't register at all.
cant decide whether this is better than Gundam 2 or not

Summary: good 1>graphics is better 2>some new gameplay mechanism like partner strike to help out in battle, specific field to boost gauge bad 1>basic and charge attacks seems not so responsive. there seems to be some delay... 2>camera angle is pretty bad, especially when you execute partner strike. 3>SP gauge, boost gauge, enemy battle gauge all crowed to center of screen making it difficult to see anything. 4>upgrade system is VERY CONFUSING.
Summary: First of let me state that I am a fan on Koei's warriors franchise. I enjoy the mild strategy and godlike ability to wade through enemies. I am also a gundam fan. At least as far as main plot line Gundam goes. I loved Dynasty Warriors Gundam 1 and 2. Three was a major let down. I will list a few positives first. It's pretty. The machine models are beautifully cell shaded and fit the anime look. It has a lot of characters. This game has the largest roster of pilots yet.
Summary: Don't get me wrong, I love Dynasty warriors. I've played every game since DW5. This series got me into Mobile suit gundam. But this is just stupid. The game is fun for the first like, five hours but it's the same thing as the other DW:Gundam games. Button smashing till you're bored. I'm very disappointed by this. It seems to me that DW series has been losing it's strategy gameplay more and more and has resorted to nothing but button smashing.
Summary: First time i purchased a Dynasty Warriors game & im not overly
impressed. You're just moving from area to area pressing square to kill hordes
of enemies. The environments & fight mechanics are really lacking.
No open world environments which the PS3 could easily handle are surprisingly
non-existent which is a shame.
Summary: The Dynasty Warriors games: a player character, a huge field of identikit enemies, and the same combos over and over again. Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 offers business as usual, but dressed up in the insanely popular 'mobile suits' of Gundam. All of which are piloted by total tools. For the first hour or so this is a pleasant hack-and-slasher, and the game has no problem chucking hundreds of enemy robots at you.
