Same Solid Combat - Disappointing Strategy Elements.

Summary: I was disappointed largely by this version of DW: Empires. I had last played DW5: Empires on Xbox 360 and was impressed with the amount of outside influence you could have on the DW style live combat. However, this version feels at once more streamlined but also dumbed down with less to do except battle after battle. If I just wanted to battle, I'd play the regular DW or DW: Extreme Legend - I was hoping for a little more strategy other than just buying a horse.
Summary: I guess Dynasty Warriors games have been a guilty pleasure of mine. But I'm glad I broke free! There's really nothing to these games; it's a huge, unchallenging grind with unimpressive presentation and story. Do something else with your money and time!
Want the latest and best DW title that you can enjoy, buy DW7 instead.

Summary: Dynasty Warriors 6 was an attempt to change up what the old games 2-5 had done. The renbu was the big alteration that a normal fan of this series would notice. This change is definately interesting at first, but then the repetitive mashing of a single button will make you miss the former combos you could do in the earily titles. With this said, this new fighting style seems to have been 'unfinished' for lack of a better term.
Summary: I really hate this game with a strong passion. What were they thinking to change some of the people weapons. My favorite guy has been all redone for the worst they need to take it back to the older versions.
Summary: I have played all of the Dynasty Warriors games and have either loved or liked them, but this one has me really disappointed. They screwed up all the things that they had right in the past titles and added things to complicate the game play. Most of all the game looks awful: MUDDY, HAZY, graphics, ugly changes in the look of the heros, changes in the weapons they use. I can't believe that this game has gone backwards in quality and play value. THUMBS DOWN.
Summary: One of my favorite game of all time was Dynasty Warrior 4, because it was so fun and addicted, it has large selection of characters, offer pvp, good side question and survival mode, and the plot is well done. While the ps3 installtin of DW6 look promising in the trailer and picture, but when i actually got the game, it doesn't live up to my expetation, in fact i felt is more of step backward in most area.
Going down hill but still okay if your a die hard fan.

Conclusion: I've loved Dynasty Warriors games ever since i got my first copy. Ever since i've gotten all the releases, they simply seemed to get bigger and better everytime. then the first few "expansions" appeared, which didn't make sense on the PS2 for example. It was another game that was the same but with less content but different content... Odd.
Conclusion: The game's graphics were pretty good and some storylines for the characters were good. I was most dissapointed that some of the best characters were not on story mode such as Ma Chao, Sun Ce, Cao Pi, Tashi Ci, etc it would have been alot better if all the charcaters were on story mode. Plus, the game didnt include missons like when Wu and Shu did not face Meng Huo and Xu rong. The game is overall good but lacks what the other Dynasty Warriors have.
Summary: a giant leap forward in graphics to the previous versions of the game. stages
are large and detailed making it nice to look at, but thats about it. most of
the characters remain however there is a serious lack of diversity between them.
pretty much every character has the same weapon and same story line, unlike
previous versions where every character had unique weapons and stories.
