Dungeon Siege 3 Review

VideoGamer.com
12 November 2011
  • Excerpt: Dungeon Siege began in 2002 under Gas Powered Game's watch, largely keeping in the style of the Ultima series, and to a lesser degree Diablo. But this is Obsidian Entertainment's first crack at the franchise, and the new studio's focus has moved to other areas.

Dungeon Siege III: Treasure of the Sun

Destructoid
4 November 2011
  • Summary: For all its faults, Dungeon Siege III was something that I immensely enjoyed to button-mash my way through on my own. The camera annoyances found in co-op were not really an issue while playing solo, although the AI's tendency to just leave you for dead more than made up for it.

Dungeon Siege III

Playstation Illustrated

  • Excerpt: What Dungeon Siege III lacks in standout features it makes up for with solid, enjoyable gameplay. Nothing will stick out in your mind, yet it is something you'll want to see through to the end and, just maybe, replay with a friend.

Dungeon Siege III

Strategy Informer
15 September 2011
  • Conclusion: Dungeon Siege III falls victim to its lack of ambition. With a little extra guts, the developers could have installed an engaging narrative, memorable characters and an online component that would prolong the title's life.

Dungeon Siege III

Gaming Evolution
21 August 2011
  • Conclusion: Dungeon Siege III is an ok RPG that had so much potential going for it. Considering there are other RPGs on the market today; the likes of Torchlight and Trine, requiring someone to pay $60 for this RPG experience seems a little too much.

Expert Review

Realm of Gaming
27 July 2011
  • Excerpt: Dungeon Siege III started off rough. The opening cutscene lacked narration, which wouldn't be odd if several of a similar nature and art style weren't narrated later in the game. The player is then thrust into the world of Ehb, a land torn apart after a ruthless mercenary seized power three decades...

The Armchair Empire

  • Conclusion: dangerous and deadly deity Jeyne Kassynder. For the first time on consoles after the first two titles were PC-only adventures (and the last released in 2005), Square Enix finally has finally brought a new Dungeon Siege sequel, a good old-fashioned hack & slash action RPG dungeon crawler that fans of...
