Duke Nukem Forever is Finally Here

TotalPlayStation.com
17 July 2011
  • Conclusion: Hopefully this is Duke's swan song. No matter what happens next it will never top Forever in terms of hype and discussion. It doesn't deserve the venom it got from reviewers and message boards, but it probably doesn't deserve your cash, either.

  • Excerpt: It's important to remember something any time you put a disc in your PlayStation 3, grip your controller and prepare yourself for what you are about to experience: games are supposed to be games. They can be other things that today's gamer seems to crave--artistic, profound and meaningful--but at the end of the day, video games exist as a medium because people saw how cool video was and they figured it was high time interactive entertainment evolved to take advantage of...

Duke Nukem Forever

Thunderbolt Games
18 June 2011
  • Excerpt: A few years ago Duke Nukem Forever was dead. Sent to the doldrums of many a cancelled game, destined to never see the light of day. And yet here we are; the year is 2011 and Duke Nukem Forever is finished – a physical item you can sit down and play yourself. Duke Nukem Forever Review

PlayStation Universe
16 June 2011
  • Summary: The aging loud-mouth hero does not take himself too seriously in Duke Nukem Forever, and neither should you. Overall, nostalgia simply is not enough to save this bland and repetitive shooter.
