Return to Gransys and Finish the Cycle of Eternal Return Once Again!
23 April 2013
Summary: While taking a stroll through the abandoned country side on my way to defend a fort on the frontier I stumble across a forest for the first time. Seeing my objective on my map is only a short way off I decide to make a run for it... I barely lived to regret that mistake as a Drake ambushes me, I quickly find myself running for my life. This experience sums up Dragon's Dogma neatly, a relatively unforgiving open world action RPG from Capcom.
Pros: Fantastic Combat, Large Open World, Pawn system, One of the friendliest communities online.
Cons: Little variation in monster spawns, lots of back tracking, Pawns will not stop talking, Story is fairly weak until the end.
Summary: Plus: * Combat: It feels very satisfying to smash your giant weapon down and watch enemies fly, fire your bow or go crazy on an enemy with a pair of daggers * Progression system: There are 3 main classes and another 3 subclasses (called vocations). You can change vocations easily and you will want to to get the best stats & passives (which can be carried over to different vocations) possible.
Summary: Hadn't heard of this game but took a chance on it. Glad I did as it's the best RPG I've played. Epic battles, reasonable graphics. Just don't expect to dip into it for 1/2 an hour - you'll wonder where the last 6 hours went.
Summary: I ordered this Sunday 29th Dec and it came on the 31st Dec. Brilliant!! Wasn't expecting it that quick. The game it's self I've just started. But there's certainly an epic feel to it. Looks a very detailed game when it comes to your character and I find that really important in RPGs. Very similar to Skyrim without being too similar. Which means you'll want to carry on playing without that 'been there, done this feeling.
Summary: it starts out really good with quests galore. you get some companions and can hire many other companions along the way. you can also choose what class you are but can change classes along the way and try and max out all the stats. i was really enjoying it but it's a bit samey and there's nowhere to go to really. there's about two main places to go where they have shops and smiths etc..
