  • Summary: This game was great, exactly like the arcade game and looked tremendous on blu-ray.My promlem is with the long random pauses between episodes(Sometimes 10 minutes or more!)Very annoying.Maybe it is just my player(Samsung, 2010) Except for this one flaw the game is perfect.Looking forward to Space Ace.

Don't trade your old one in just yet...

Captain Spaulding, Amazon

  • Summary: Just a heads up on this, I'm having the exact same issue that the PS3 owners are having with my brand new Panasonic blue ray player. If your main reason for buying this on blue ray is to play it, I'd be very care full, playing it on a regular player doesn't necessarily eliminate the problem the PS3 owners are having. I've tweeked it every which way in the set up menu and I still fall short of being able to actually play it.

This is great - seems most issues are down to the player...

  • Summary: Well i just got this from Netflix and ran it on my Media PC with PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra. There were absolutely no pauses in a scene. There were some small ones before / after death scene. Quality is outstanding. Yes running this on a PC you still get an infinite lives issues (even if you set to 5) and the menu screen background turn black.

Not bad

  • Summary: I waited until the price came down, and I am glad I did. The game is as fun as I remember, but not too much for replyability. There are 2 different modes arcade and home. Home adds a few animations and boards, but other than this, they are quite similar. Get it if you can, or just wait for the price to come down.

Best non-computer of the game so far. But, there are a few flaws.

Aaron H. Prather, Amazon
19 December 2007
  • Summary: This game works great on the PLAYSTATION 3 and really simulates the classic arcade experience on your TV. The problem is the option to change the number of lives from unlimited to five doesn't work on the PS3 (even after the recent Blu-Ray Profile 1.1 update). It just stays at unlimited, lessening the challenge of the game.

Good classic made bad by a bug

Never Unread "Bookranter", Amazon

  • Summary: This all time classic would be tons of fun to play were it not for a bug that prevents signaling of which direction to go in even though that option is turned on.

Listed incorrectly

Merrick, Amazon

  • Summary: This is listed as a PS3 title - that is absolutely wrong. It is a Blu-ray product and can be played on your stand-alone Blu-ray player. This means it can ALSO be played on the PS3 as well, since it's a Blu-ray player. AMAZON FIX THIS!!!

best version so far, but should have been better..........

Frank Stout Jr., Amazon

  • Summary: I had the ps2 version. I even had the old grainy sega cd version. I grew up playing the game in the arcades. Anyway, I tried playing it on my Sony standalone player which usually takes a minute to boot up for a movie. This game took forever to load!!!!! Okay, that I can live with, but then the menu screens were pausing and not displaying correctly. And before you start wondering, Yes my player's already gotten the firmware upgrade. Even that i can live with.

Nostalgic? YES. Perfect? Hmmm...

R. Caymo, Amazon

  • Summary: I ordered this a couple of weeks ago straight from Digital Leisure (although I paid double). Anyways today, I received it in the mail and proceeded immediately to play it. It was not shrink wrapped or anything but it was in tact. I am an old school gamer and grew up with a lot of these Laser Disc games, a lot of unknowns at that, some anime looking ones if I remember correctly. ANYWAYS... As for the game: This is a huge step up from the DVD version.
