Summary: I'd mentioned to my son I was dumping DOOM off the PS3 as it was boring and too easy. He suggested DOOM 3, saying it was a lot different. He wasn't kidding. In fact, it's so creepy from the original that it bothers me while I'm trying to play. Not for the faint of heart.
If you didn't play it when it first came out, you probably won't be impressed now

Summary: I'm generally a fan of Id games but the appeal has always been more about graphics than gameplay. As the games get older and the graphics get less cutting-edge, their appeal is more about nostalgia. However, I didn't play Doom 3 back in the day, so without the nostalgia, it just seems like a subpar shooter. I played for a few hours and put the game away.
Summary: Graphics in this game are as good as some current gen game. the visual effects and tricks are nice. many things have been added over the original Doom 3. not just graphics. Doom and Doom II are also included. the copy is well created. but they're too old to play. basically a 2.5 D game. I got it for $10 bucks. so its pretty much worth that. UPDATE Knocked a star off because the game is fun. but it isn't what i would call groundbreaking or even great. its not bad.
Summary: There are games that never ever get old. Graphics get better, platforms faster, tv's bigger, time passes... And DOOM IS STILL THE BOMB! This is a well priced game for what you get. Lovely DOOMy goodness. Can't wait to try the 3D...
Summary: Back in the day when there was Doom 1 and everyone who plays the game was excited to hear that soon Doom2 was to come out, we waited and that too was a hit, since then we had the Movie with the Rock and then Long and anticipated Doom3 in PS3 form and with Doom 1 and 2, let me tell ya its heaven, buy it you'll be glad you did.
