Summary: Car polygon-modelling are like Race Driver 1. Not all the vehicles are too hard to drive with use of keyboard, as some of them are too easy to drive when compared to the Lotus Elise. Vehicle setup is available to correct some vehicles' slow steerings. As steering is slower than past Codemaster racing games, need to stick MORE THAN EVER to the best-line like it's a formula 1 game.
Summary: This is all about using the keyboard to play: The 4x4 4WD trucks handling is good enough. Different vehicle class has very different handlings, some pretty pleasant and easy to drive, so are hard-ass like it’s Formula 1. But Lotus Elise (or similar sportcar models) has poor dampling (33% bad), poor stability control (only 67% effective), rather poor braking help (20% bad).
Summary: On PS3 I started playing Dirt 2, that's why I got used to the excellent game mode, graphics and music of that game, although Dirt 1 is still a nice game to play, short menu for car setting options. Good: User friendly main menu, landscape graphics, weather options. Not so good: Music, When you see the car in contact with the surface may look unrealistic (cartoon like), too many configurable options for the car (this may be good for someone else).
Summary: I have only played this recently and that may be a small part of the poor score. It looks dated but to be fair was not bad at all graphically. I thought that the car handling was solid enough and felt responsive. The main gripe I had was with the Career Mode. It uses the same tracks and cars and setups repeatedly and it just got really tiresome having to play through to the end.
