Summary: If Coke II were good, anyway. DMC5 surpassed my expectations enormously, but there's a few things that hamper it from achieving greatness as both an action game and especially as a Devil May Cry game. The good: Combat's on par with other entries into the series, and you'll find yourself experimenting very freely with weapons and combos as you'd expect to do in a Devil May Cry.
Summary: I bought this so I could try out the series and was disappointed with the quality of the ports the FMV sequences are still in 4:3 and look absolutely horrible. There is no update to textures and that really shows the age to the games. The audio still sounds muffled in some parts. There doesn't seem to be any anti-aliasing. In the box there is no manual just a paper with some warnings and a website to actually download the manual.
Summary: DmC is the reboot of the Devil May Cry series by Ninja Theory. It is intended to direct a franchise in a new direction and gain a broader audience. I had no cons about the ideas behind the revitalizing of the series & its mythos, but merely with the execution of the ideas. PRESENTATION: Very Good. The artistic story telling is fantastic in the game, as well as the in game text to amplify some action scenes. Menu has framerate issues but well laid out and simple to see.
Summary: If you have played all the other games, then the simplest way to put it is; Better than 2, worst than 3. Maybe slightly better than 4, but not by much. The story, well, I don't know, but this is the 3rd game explaining Dante's origin. We got it, son of Sparda, lets move on to new grounds. As far as this game, It wasn't bad story-wise, its just the same story from the 1st one and the 3rd one.
Summary: In October of 2001 the original Devil May Cry hit store shelves. At the time the game changed the way action games were designed and played. It was stylish and filled to the brim with a lot of intense set pieces and graphical effects. It was a truly groundbreaking game. Since then Devil May Cry has been on a roller coaster. The second game was not well received, while the third one hit just as high. The fourth game was met with some mixed reception.
