Deus Ex Human Revolution Limited Edition (PS3) Including the Explosive Misson Pack [ UK edition, US system compatible]
12 November 2011
Summary: On 25July2013 Amazon sent me an email that the game had shipped and I should expect delivery around 15August2013 or so. I recieved the game from Rave Imports of the UK promptly way before the expected date and was delighted by that. The packaging was undamaged and unopened. However when I tried to load it, it kept giving me an error message and failed several attempts. The game is suppodsed to be USA compatible and have bonus content.
Summary: Nothing really wrong with the game... it's just trying to play it on a Play Station is what is so bad.... I've played the original through 10 times (all the way) and the second one maybe 3 on my PC. Incredible experience there. I've played this for 2 hours and could not beat the second combat encounter. 30+ reloads. I guess I'm just lame. I took my disk out and broke it in half. Worst play station game play ever. PC version of this game is ordered from NewEgg.
Pros: It's Deus Ex... It's available on PC (game has been ordered. Thanks NewEgg).
Cons: - Play Station 3. - Playing this game on a game console is the worst experience I've ever had. - Trying to move+aim+duck+fire using the game controller is... the worst experience I've ever had. - Enemies seem invulnerable. Takes like 100 direct hits to kill them. - You start out with a weapon that makes a lot of noise, but it doesn't kill ANYTHING. - HATE the "amber" lighting everwhere. I preferred the "blue" lighting the old games had. - Cost too much. I'd pay TWICE ...
Summary: I am a sci-fi fan with fond memories of "Blade Runner" on the PC. I was hoping for something equally immersive, particularly given the Deus Ex pedigree of play-as-you-want. Sadly, things have fallen foul here. The graphics look really dated. That could be forgiven if the plot was gripping. It isn't.
Summary: I tried hard to get into this game, but just couldn't. What on earth qualifies this to be potentially rated as 'game of the year'? The graphics are nothing special, the storyline is unengaging, and it seems all too easy to get killed during combat, even on the regular difficulty mode. On the plus side, I didn't pay much for it, so no harm done.
Summary: Considering that this was supposed to be the game of the year or even the decade. I would say that it isnt even the game of the day... The storyline is not original, very pretencious and with no dramatic feeling. The graphics are really rusty, taking in account on the new games that have come out on the same year. It looks like an old version of a new game, eventhough it is already a new game.
