Summary: The thing is this game is terrible. Dead to Rights 1 and Dead 2 Rights were decent games. This? Oh god. When I first started I was having fun the hand-to-hand combat was fun as heck. Playing as Shadow (the dog) was fun as well. The story is just . . . bad. The game is unbelievably ugly. Let's not forget repetitive. Worst of all BUGGY! Eventually you can't even do hand-to-hand combat anymore because all the enemies shoot you and you die before you can even hit him.
(5.2) Review - Dead to Rights - Cheap, repetitive, boring...

Summary: Wow this game has some cheap production value. First off you do the same thing all the time, MASH the triangle button and watch chintzy, cheap fighting that never changes. The Hero always over shoots his target and it looks funny, the screen wobbles and makes you sick to look at after a while, shooting mechanics are poor executed and slothy and wont keep up with the AI popping back and forth like some 80s arcade game. No story at all.
Summary: I was a huge proponent of Dead to Rights on the PS2 because of the games great story, good gameplay and vulgar language of course but DTR Retribution is just deplorable. The story is so vague and jumps all around leaving the player lost in transition at points and the voice acting is an absolute joke. The gameplay is very repetitive and they took away the slow motion jump shooting, I mean come on now REALLY!
Summary: So just like other D2R fans I was really excited about this game coming out, and I picked it up the first day it was on the shelves. BIG MISTAKE! I'll make this short, but the basics, are this: - Graphics are decent (barely decent) but animation is very choppy at times. - Emotion in the voice-acting is laughable, it really will make you laugh at it's stupidity- - The cutscenes are very short and will confuse you because they blend in horribly with the levels.
