Excerpt: Fear. Fear is one of the most primal of all human emotions. It is something that everyone must face at some point in their lives, but not everyone is afraid of the same things. Some people fear heights, others spiders. One of the most prevalent fears, though one that most people will not admit is that of death. There is something overwhelming in it. Perhaps it is the mystery, perhaps it is the thought that there really is nothing beyond it.
Summary: In the beginning it was epic. it was scary couple of Necromorphs played dead and got up when i got near. i saw a one or two below the floor or in the ceiling it kept me alert. Then as i progress, it became a bunch of arenas. You walk through a hallway enter a big room your jumped. next hallway all good next big room i am jumped again. i enter an elevator i am good nice breather. enter a big elevator oh great i gonna get jumped. it lost its chance to surprise or scare.
Summary: Very scary. Graphics are really good. bang on for the mood of the game. in horror type. realism. cool weapons. very gory. only thing was first person view made it harder to see around me. making it extra scary .
Summary: This IS a great game. Great story line, creepy environment and action packed. Very horrific too! One of the bad things about this game is, first, theres no option for 1st person view (which is personal preference..) the second thing that plagues this game is the terrible controls. They are awkward and sluggish, especially when using the mouse and keyboard combo. The environments are creepy and the sound effects add to the erie feeling.
Summary: this game is so freaky i mean some things i think shouldnt even be put in a videogame like on mission two at the very beginning well i wont tell you any more but you will see. The graphics are pretty good but i think they could be improved though. This game is very bloody and gorey because in some parts like i said very gorey, and there is blood all over the walls in some areas which is very good detail in the enviroment though.
Great Game That Justifies Game of the Year Candidacy
27 December 2008
Summary: Great game, equally good reviews all around. Not for those who are easily scared since this game can easily spook you at times. If you can't play Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, F.E.A.R., or other horror survival games, you may be easily scared while playing this one. It's a great game overall though, but not perfect. Easily justifies the candidacy for Game of the Year 08.
Summary: Six years later, Dead Space is still worth a blast through though not if you're squeamish. Graphics, story (though a little predictable) and gameplay mechanics still hold up despite some annoying problems such as in anti-gravity areas where the system is very finicky about where you can jump and the absence of an evade command (although this helps the fear factor).
