Good, but not for the same reasons as the previous games

Summary: Dead Space 1 was a survival horror game, which is exactly what I wanted. Dead Space 3 is definitely not a survival horror game. That being said, it's good for different reasons. It does some very unique things with the co-op, and I highly recommend playing it with a friend online with headsets on. Otherwise you'll miss out on a lot of what makes this game awesome.
Summary: I bought this for my boyfriend's son, and he loves it. He beat it in a few days, but has gone back to it recently with some add-ons that he bought through the PlayStation Store. It keeps his attention for long periods of time, and not many things can do that.
Summary: I have played the first two dead space games and I loved them. So when I heard the third was coming out I knew I had to have it. And I won't lie, my expectations were pretty high for it. Not only did this game meet my expectations, the surpassed them altogether. The amazingly open worlds you get to run through, wasted no time in blowing my mind. Weather you were exploring a bunker or floating through space, there wasn't much in the way of limitations.
Summary: The third time is a charm. Well, at least that's what they say, but truth be told, by the third time around a series is at risk of growing stale. There's a chance that fans will be satisfied with the same style game for a third time, but there's as equal a chance they will want something more. The question the developers must ask is: "What changes can be made that will keep the series fresh, while still accommodating to our fans desires?".
Summary: The Dead Space series is made famous by bringing the horror genre into the next generation. The first two entries were fantastic in their own respects. Plenty of scares and action coupled with a decent background story. A third title in this series was inevitable. While Dead Space 3 manages to be an enjoyable game in general, it doesn't bring anything new to the gaming-sphere. By a long shot. The first two games took place primarily on giant spaceships.
