The best 3D fighting game
Summary: DOA5U is one of the most fun fighting games out there, especially in the 3D fighters category. The now aged Virtua Fighter 5 has finally been surpassed. This game is easy to pick up, has plenty of challenges and things to do. The online versus gameplay however, is slow and laggy when compared to playing local multiplayer. Overall the game is simple at it's core and gets more complicated as you begin to understand it more.
Summary: It took me awhile to finally break down and get this. I got off the series since 3 and 4 were only XBOX. I don't like to skip in a series. LOL. But I'm glad I waited. I would have been bummed out if I got the regular then had to pay for, pretty much, the whole game again with extras. The movements are still fluid and fast. Tons of costumes to unlock and of course download. And the of course the eyecandy. LOL. The characters are all beautifully done.
Summary: I AM SICK AND TIRED OF companies making super, ultra, hairy, barf, pink, purple, blue, special, majestic editions of games! GIVE US FULL GAMES! GIVE US FULL GAMES! Stop FOCUSING ON HENTAI, SEX, PORN or whatever Team Ninja is thinking about and FOCUS on giving us more stages, characters and adding on the story mode. Why is there so much POINTLESS DLC out there for this game??? The ULTIMATE EDITION is a 7/10 because it is the same game but just with all the dlc.
Summary: This is a great fighting game that I have been trying out lately. It has 3D characters in a mostly 2D plane. You can side-step, though, so there is a slight 3D element to it. I would say the game's style is more similar to Tekken or Virtua Fighter than it is to Street Fighter or King of Fighters. It can be very fast-paced. Once you get used to the controls and the ways combos work, the game is incredibly fun and fast. The graphics are lovely, too, with a lot of detail.
Summary: Learning the technical combos is difficult but rewarding, not only are the move sets completely fast and furious, the babes are all the rage. More costumes than I can afford, and many of them can be earned. Online play is relatively consistent, but ranking takes a while for matching fighters. There are a lot of options and challenges in this game that makes it well worth the time and money invested for pure fun.
Summary: Active environments and beautiful female fighters make this fighter a winner!!! Lots of different costumes to unlock, different stages to fight on , great fighting moves and a very intuitive fighting system make this a great fighter!!! Can't put it down!!!
Summary: buy this if you don't have the original DoA5. This game has a few more playable characters than the original. I don't understand why the characters couldn't be DLC off the PSN, instead they made an actual game.
Summary: Fans of fighting games have had tons of games to choose from since the 1990's. From the huge variety of characters in Street Fighter to the bloody mess in Mortal Kombat. I can remember the day in the arcades when a new machine arrived and it was just called Dead or Alive. The characters looked great and it has been a very strong following. Now the folks over at team ninja have released the latest installment called Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate.
