Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe Review

20 November 2008
  • Excerpt: In a way, it feels as if many fighting game characters have stepped right out of the pages of a comic book. They wear bizarre costumes, spend a lot of time punching and kicking other people, and possess inexplicable powers. Pitting fighting game characters against comic book heroes and villains has been done before, and in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, the meshing of Raiden's crew and Superman's posse makes for some pretty exciting action--especially online.
  • Pros: DC characters are a good fit with the MK gang, Satisfying fighting system, Enjoyably goofy storylines, Great visual presentation, Smooth online play
  • Cons: Some powerful moves are easy to exploit, Few options to aid new players, Toned-down gore

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

20 November 2008
  • Excerpt: In 1992, from the dimly lit, cacophonous bowels of the local video arcade beckoned the rumbling monster of Mortal Kombat. Patrons crowded around the thunderous machine for a better look, responding with cheers and sympathetic groans to the action on screen. Fast forwarding through 16 years, Mortal Kombat moved from the arcade to the console with generally good results. But today, Mortal Kombat vs.

Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe

13 October 2008
  • Excerpt: Midway wanted some super-heroes. The Capcom characters have already faced off against the heroes of the Marvel Universe, now its the turn of the Mortal Kombat guys, and they get the heroes that started it all - the inhabitants of the DC Universe. That's right, it's all-out bloody carnage as the likes of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman square up against legendary, seasoned fighters such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Sonya Blade.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Hardcore Gamer
19 September 2008
  • Summary: Mortal Kombat birthed one of the only video game movies I’ve ever enjoyed. I’m not sure if that says anything about my tastes, but the gratuitous mo-cap fest of the 90’s was somehow turned into an enjoyable feature film that stirred the hearts of young boys everywhere. Along with Mortal Kombat 3 for the SNES, it was the last thing I truly enjoyed from the franchise. When did Mortal Kombat start to misstep?

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Gaming Evolution
10 August 2008
  • Conclusion: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe isn’t the fighting title that will make gamers drop whatever they are playing in order to pick up and play this title, but it certainly does pack more of a punch than most titles. Though plagued with a few issues due to the Unreal Engine, the game still boasts solid visuals, an interesting story and diverse roster of fighter.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

Saving Progress
12 April 2008
  • Conclusion: Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe takes a number of steps in the right direction. It is by far the most fun I have had with an MK game since Mortal Kombat 3 . It still has a way to go if it wants to compete with the top tier, but it provides a fun time by coupling a few unseen fighting styles with familiar characters.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

8 December 2008
  • Summary: Mortal Kombat und keine Badewannen voller Blut?

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe review 1

27 November 2008
  • Cons: Te weinig gore, Korte levensduur, Te grote boezems?

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

28 October 2008
