Excerpt: The Four Horsemen: it’s a topic that hasn’t much been explored in games, so it’s nice to see that 2010 title Darksiders focusses on such a unique area. I bought the game years ago but, unfortunately, I restarted it several times, struggling to get into it.
Pros: Unique concept; brutal and satisfying combat; challenging puzzles; superb graphics and sound .
Cons: Mediocre start; maybe a bit too long; no New Game + .
Excerpt: This is a great game if you enjoy others such as God of War, Dantes Inferno and Devil May Cry. You play as War, one of the legendary Four Horsemen, who has been tricked into coming to earth and this triggering the apocalype.
Pros: good graphics, easy to control, good amount of gaming for your money - fun !
Excerpt: Despite a couple of bugs in the game (I fell through the world twice during my time playing) this is a very good game, which is unexpected for a game which is both a new IP and a mash up of many genre's. Good story, Fun to play, a solid 25 hours if you fully complete.
Excerpt: Simplemente Fantastico!! Well written, well executed and well planned game. Inspired by Zelda this game will keep you busy for hours and its solid fun! The plot just keeps on getting better, keeps its grip strong and the more strong you become, the more fun you get.
Excerpt: It certainly borrowed heavily from Zelda in the dungeon sections and some of the fighting started to become an inconvenience. As you would expect the comic book graphics were great and overall pretty fun to play - just hoping the sequal has tighter level design and adds some character to the overall...
Excerpt: Good fast paced game, levelling up seems clumsy and could easily be slightly tweaked to make it more enjoyable. Battle seems monotomous sometimes especially when the prescripted "lock ins" occur. However all round good solid game.
Excerpt: Darksiders is a fantastic game. Sort of a cross between Devil May Cry and Zelda the game features a fair share of running around and thumping demons with a very large sword. It has a fairly lengthy single player campaign (15 hours) yet never becomes dull.
Excerpt: To all those who maybe put off by the first 15 minutes hack and slash affair; give it slightly longer. I started off not particularly enjoying it, but as the game progresses, more skill becomes necessary in combat, not to mention some clever, entertaining puzzles.
