  • Summary: Excellent art & voice work. Puzzles are somewhat challenging. Big bosses are very challenging - lots of online walkthroughs if you get stuck.

Plays a little like God of War

Cole, Amazon
19 March 2013
  • Summary: Great game. I like open world type games and this is more linear type but that does not take away from the game. It is still fun to play and has a really good combat system. It has a God of War feel to it. I am not comparing it to GOW, I'm just saying that it feels like it.

Play as Death, Feel Invincible!

Jimmy Kim, Amazon
18 December 2012
  • Summary: Gameplay is fun and gruesome, Combos are ridiculous and the story is very intriguing. Sometimes it can get a little repetitive but the game finds ways to make it more interesting This game has so many different elements it's hard to put it in a specific genre but many aspects about the game make it very fun. There is a hack and slash feel to the game and yet they include an RPG item system which makes it VERY fun to customize and gather/loot items.

A real decent sequel

Aaron G. Bryan "darkfallz", Amazon
30 September 2012
  • Summary: I have only played about 6 hours into it,but so far it meets my expectations of what the sequel should be about. The camera angle can get a little frustrating at times but that is a minor part overall.

The time for War is over, now prepare for Death

D.G.M., Amazon
15 September 2012
  • Summary: This is a game I was eagerly waiting on for quite some time after beating the first game. Now that I've beaten it, I can definitely say it was almost everything I had hoped it would be. This sequel actually takes place during the 100 year "intermission" of the first Darksiders where War is imprisoned by the Charred Council after he (allegedly) kick-started the Apocalypse too early, which caused all hell to literally break loose on Earth, completely obliterating the human...

Great Game, needs some work.

Al, Amazon
28 August 2012
  • Summary: I own the first Darksiders game and I loved it. So I was really excited to see Darksiders II come out. I do not intend to give a huge review, and spoil any of the game... it's not necessary. The game is kind of different from the first Darksiders in a couple ways, first it really embraced the whole RPG format, instead of having a few custom weapons like the first game this one actually has thousands of weapons generated.

A Completionist Review: For Better and Worse - But Mostly Better

B. Cooper, Amazon
27 August 2012
  • Summary: FOR BETTER: --------------- Darksiders 2 is an impressive follow up to THQ and Vigil's apocaplyptic journey. Even if you never played the original, don't have any reservations about picking up the sequel. Death is an extraordinary character: well-acted, well-animated, enigmatic and engaging.

Flimsy packaging from THQ

Crossroads, Amazon
24 August 2012
  • Summary: *Disclaimer: This is a review for the packaging! I am still in the process of finishing the first game!* I just got my copy earlier. The box Amazon put it in was BIG. There was also ample air packets to cushion the box, so I have no problems with Amazon here. Good job. My issue was that the actual box that the game came in was really flimsy. The carton itself was the same as the one used in slipcases.
