Summary: A solid game in so many ways that just simply does not deliver in terms of adventure, story, exploration, or gameplay. Pros: 1) Solid controls 2) Excellent production quality (graphics and sound) 3) Plenty of content 4) Interesting (though somewhat uncreative) setting/lore/world Cons: 1) Majorly linear: What little exploring exists is neither rewarding nor interesting 2) Button Masher: Combat, while handling very well, is surprisingly shallow 3) Mindless...
Summary: I went into this game expecting something pretty good considering its average Amazon rating and general good buzz from around the internet. I'll overlook the dated graphics (dated even by 2009 standards), but I cannot get over how much of poorly paced game Darksiders is. It is not without interesting elements, but the time between each time you're interested is fairly long.
Bleh.. Excellent concept and enjoyable art style are thrown in with horrendous gameplay.

Summary: Pros: The game is beautiful in it's own respect. The terrain is a bit low poly at times but current generation consoles are to blame for that. Everything else in the art department is appreciable, much more so than World of Warcraft. Whoever made that comparison is probably overly concerned about graphics. I actually wanted to play this game because of the art, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
Summary: After playing Kratos in the GOW series, it is hard to play anything less entertaining. Darksiders was interesting at first because it's new & felt fresh, but after 30 mins of play time all I could do was compare it to GOW & then Darksiders simply frustrated me because the game is like a weak imitation of Kratos & nowhere near as good in quality or entertainment.
Summary: I logged about 20 hours on this game only to find myself cursing at my television. I couldn't rip this cancer out of my ps3 fast enough. Darksiders would do well to serve as a coaster and here is why. While the graphics are certainly favorable, the controls are absolutely horrendous. The game has you using the buttons atop the controller more often than the face buttons which would be fine if I were reviewing an FPS but sadly, I am not.
Summary: First off, let me say that I have only downloaded the demo verion on the PS3, I have not played the full game. With that said, I don't see a need to. People are raving about the graphics, but I think they are pretty standard, and quite cartoony for a modern game. Did not impress me. Gameplay: Hack, slash, hack, slash. Very, very little depth or story involved.
Summary: Take a great idea and excellent graphics... add blood and gorey scenes of heads getting chewed off and that is what you have... just run around and slash. Wish they would have done more with it.
Aaaargh! WHY!? Why must games with potential be generic knockoffs of other games?

Summary: Very little good to say here. The graphics are average but nothing jaw dropping. Combat mechanics are bland and boring. Story is original but hardly engaging. Gameplay steals from Zelda and God of War to create a game that is obviously lacking in creativity and steals the best elements from other games without really adding anything to the equation.
Summary: This game is very hard. I didn't bother finishing it because it is the most repetetive thing i have ever played. All your do is mash the square and R1 buttons. It is really boring, and i only got it cuz of the story. The story is excellent, but the gameplay is terrible. It is just GOW and HALO mixed together (should be great right?). The fighting sucks, War has like 3 different moves. I just went on youtube to see who was the destroyer, and it was so obvious.
Summary: i bought darksiders and loved it you know ,everyone said it copyed god of war i was ,your full of ***,well then i heard about god of war 3 so i knew i had to get it yo first i bought the collection for ps3 ,be4 darksiders wouldve gotten a 9.5 now more like a 4.0 ,it copys everything from god of war ,its ok to use other games stuff but true developer talent lies when it can make its own game
