Summary: First of all, everybody has got it wrong:this game is NOT hard-it's tedious. The hardest thing about this game is the bosses, and they're really not that hard neither. The tediousness of it is having to run for 5 minutes just to fight the boss everytime. It's easy to get there, but when the sprint is slow as dog crap and your dude runs like he's on sand, it gets a annoying real fast. This game eats away your life, and you get almost zero fun factor in that time.
Summary: Careful guys! Get the original november 2011 disc without Artorias DLC & patches and you'll be max level in 24 hours. Otherwise you won't be able to go past 150! You also need souls for items, spells and upgrades so save yourself ridiculous farm time and stress! Don't get this version.
Summary: This review has nothing to do with the quality of Dark Souls as a game, just the packaging. The item listing should have noted in description and image that this was going to be a red label greatest hits edition. As a collector, these red labels are an eye soar, and not as appealing to own as the original black label. Not only that but the disc somehow came loose inside the box so the disc was being rattled around all throughout shipment...lame.
Summary: This game is more frustrating than fun. I was very disappointed by the overall look of the game. Character and world design is 10 years behind Skyrim. The game is incredibly frustrating, not only because of the unforgiving game mechanics and lack of documentation, but also due to the camera glitches and the unpredictability of mobs. It feels as if no testing went into the game.
Summary: You're much better off buying buying the original november 2011 disc as this one comes with patch 1.05 and you can't use dragon head stone to level up anymore. This game is pretty glorious and fun at lv 700, still challenging but not designed to make you die. 'Cause that's the problem with this game, devs made you severely underpowered and underleveled wich results in unbelievable grindfest.
Summary: I heard so many good things about this game & so I was looking forward to playing it,That was my first & only mistake. People everywhere say that this game is hard & will take ages to complete.Personally I think the hardest part of the game is getting the plastic cover of the game case to get into the game, once that's done the rest is simple,In total it took me about 2 hour to complete the game & the gameplay in my opinion was awful.I can't believe I wasted £ on this...
Summary: I'm going to lay the facts down for you so you don't have to bother with the fanboy reviews ok? Trust me it's easier that way. Let me start off by saying this: THIS WILL BE THE HARDEST GAME YOU WILL EVER PLAY. At the beginning you may think "this is not so bad I don't know what the fuss was about" like me but then you'll die. "That's okay I read about this so I'm prepared and it can't be that bad right?" Wrong.
Summary: terrible, challenging gameplay was fun but everything else was just poorly designed making the game very alienating couldn't emerse, tried to play online... dont even bother takes ages to right the in game item required and will disconnect u and ur friend at every opportunity, its a single player game despite the lies it tells u about multiplayer online
Summary: Although I'd never give the original Dark Souls a measly one this edition is broken or at least it is for anyone who's played the original and wants to carry a saved file over. To cut a long story short you can't unless you've downloaded the DLC rather than bought the PTD physical edition. A simple google search will reveal many have this problem and it clearly hasn't been patched either.
Summary: You'd expect that you could continue with your old character and save file, right? Well, think again as From Software and Namco Bandai doesn't want to respect old fans who want a physical copy. I reckon it wouldn't have been too hard to make old saves compatible for this physical copy. It's very ridiculous that if I download dlc then my old save will work, so it doesn't make any sense at all.
