Summary: Ok, I'll admit that I overlooked Dante's Inferno for years. Everything I read indicated that it was a God of War clone, and a pretty bad God of War clone at that. Now that I'm getting a little closer to sunsetting my PS3 and moving on to the PS4, this was one of the games buried in my Amazon wish-list, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It turned out being one the best gaming decisions I've ever made.
Summary: As someone who has read Divine Comedy (twice!) I was excited to get ahold of this game. I wasn't disappointed! It is obvious that the makers of the game actually read the Inferno (Bantam Classics) and actually allude to many of the cantos throughout the quest. Granted, the storyline is only vaguely based on the Italian's literary masterpiece, and they ad-lib quite a bit (such as when they say that "this" Dante fought in the crusades).
Summary: This game was truely enjoyable. It is one of my favorite games. The graphics are beautiful (especially the cutscenes). The ability to be "good" or "evil" creates a perfect way to play the game multiple times through. Plus the added bonus of Greek mythology mixed in (if you like that stuff).
Summary: A book come to life in the interest of the action-oriented gamer. This game is awesome and I'd recommend it to any PS3 fan (or XBOX 360 fan). If you've ever read the real book that is The Divine Comedy: The Inferno, then this game is the best modern day interpretation I have ever seen (or played). There is an anime move that accompanies the game and it's equally grand. Check it out and definitely check this game out.
Great game, felt like God of War .... But their is nothing wrong with that!

Summary: Many critics gave this game a bad rating, because of its similarities to God of War, and while I will admit it is like god of war, I also have to point out that God of War is A GREAT GAME, and their is nothing wrong with being like it. The game follows Dante's trip through Hell (Inferno). I do not want to say to much as this game is a great story. But the combat is great, the story is well thought out, and the puzzles are relatively tough.
Summary: If you are a God of War fan then this is a game for you. And for us older fans for the most part the repeating 0 need not to be as fast as the 0 in God of War. You speend 99% of the game desending into hell and most of the save points are well spaced. I enjoyed the game and replaying it on a harder level, so far there are just more creatures to kill. For 360 owners this will give you a feeling of what the God of War series is like.
Summary: This game is way underrated by most prominent reviewers. Personally I have enjoyed it tremendously. Not only are the graphics stunning, the bosses imaginative and creepy, but the developers were able to weave Dante's masterpiece and this game perfectly. Must buy imo.
