All it does is scream

A. Moore "A. Moore", Amazon
  • Summary: I tried to open this game up repeatedly on multiple days and months even. All I ever got was a scream and then nothing. I guess it was an issue with updates locking it up and the creator failing to ever correct the issue.

  • Summary: I enjoyed playing this game but i didn't got amazed or really scared. The forensic investigation part was nice, the plot was meh, some creatures were creepy but i honestly didn't really enjoyed the fighting mechanics. Still, it's kind of unique in horror games, but i'd still stick to survival horror games. If you are a fan of horror games and like fighting with your bare hand or melee I enjoyed playing this game but i didn't got amazed or really scared.

  • Summary: Some recipes in Condemned 2 seemed successful at first glance but then they were spammed to death and lost any sense of suspense or excitement. Everything in this game hits level 11 and stays there. Subtleties are lost when the environment is gritty and 'tense' the entire time. Without moments of peace, the tenseness loses its power. Same with the soundtrack.

Condemned for Being Terrible

Richard S. Everson II "Stu E.", Amazon
1 August 2014
  • Summary: Not a great game. I was hoping for a fun survival horror game. What I got was a disjointed, clunky mess of a game. Not worth the money unless you get it from a bargain bin at GameStop.

  • Summary: Condemned: Criminal Origins was one of the best launch games in history and a great horror game too. Its sequel, Condemned 2: Bloodshot, continues this fashion with a fantastic first person brawler and continuation of the great Condemned story. 18 months after the death of Serial Killer X, Ethan Thomas has laid down his badge and become a washed up drunk.

LaughboxTV, Metacritic

  • Summary: I felt that the story for Condemned 2 was very bland and generic and Ethan was a very idiotic antagonist. The atmosphere of the game was too dark for my taste, and the horror lost way after you reach the last level. These comments aside, the game is very scary at times and the fighting was pretty decent. It was also graphically superior.

Required Update Patch Freezes PS3

Dan Darling, Amazon
25 April 2013
  • Summary: Everything was fine, seller was fine, condition was fine, came in original packaging with instructions, got it in 2 days, etc...apparently a common problem with this game is that you can't update to a patch Sega had put out about a year after the game was released. It freezes your PS3 and restarts it. You can play without the update, but the audio is all sorts of messed up, it pops and skips, making playing unbearable.
