Summary: Game is boring, well after the first couple of hours - if I wrote this review after first hour I would give it an 7 out of 10 because it is fun, but - well I bought this new for $50 (having the original, and Grid - which is better) and sold it just a week later. I agree the graphics are good, not amazing. Same tracks over and over, about the cheesiest commentary I have heard in a long time. Very little customization, ohhh look new stickers, sorry liveries.
Summary: Well after playing the original Dirt game for over a year and loving every minute, I could not wait for this game to come out. That said I did wait a couple of weeks for the prices to drop a bit. I got it and was really excited to see what it was like. I started it up and liked the way it was set out in a interesting walk through menu so to speak. You start out as a rookie driver and have a little money and you buy your first car and do a few races to earn money and xp.
Pros: Online layout is better, But players online let it down, Graphics are good
Cons: Online players that mess around, not as realistic as the original, cant save replays
Colin McRae: Dirt 2 (PS3): Dirt2, A boring driving experience
6 January 2010
Summary: Dirt. It is a pretty basic title, and a pretty basic driving game. When I first slotted it in to my PS3 I was initially impressed with the look of the game. Think of the 'X Games' and then imagine the layout to be in that grungey style. I went into a few quick races just to get the hang but all I did was drive into walls, career off into all directions and defiantly did not finish in the top 5.
Pros: Lots of cars, great graphics, Strong Online
Cons: No replay value, Boring, Tedious, Annoying after an hour or two
