I Wouldn't Even Wipe My Posterior With This Game. (Spoiler Alert)
22 April 2012
Summary: Graphics: Tight. The scenery blends in really well. Characters and stages look amazing. Controls: There are way too many moves and the entire controller is used up which leads to frustrations. Too many darn attacks to remember. There are a few that are similar to one another so you'll easily remember those and you'll stick to using them the whole game. You will not use all of the combat moves while playing this game.
Summary: This game is frustrating, nothing special -- I reached to part 4 and gave this game away. The time you spend working the control to accomplish a task is ridiculous. I felt it's not original as it has taken a few things from Lord of war game. However, the graphics is awesome ! like the snow, climbing walls etc. The game itself is not enjoyable.
Summary: SPOLIERS INCLUDED> I loved the game but hated the ending, so 90% of this review is about the ending < SPOILER First of all, a lot of one-star reviewers hate this game because the gameplay is too much like God of War. Big deal. If you believe that, then God of War is too much like Donkey Kong...you avoid enemies and then bop them in the head. All video games have this stuff. Some say the animation is bad, but I couldn't disagree more.
Summary: This game is not a castlevania game. It is not set in a castle. It should just be called lords of shadow. Castlevania games are supposed to be set inn a castle. every other castlevania is. This was a huge waste of money. Just save your money and buy something else this game is not a castlevania game.
Summary: I enjoyed this game at first, but it didn't take too long to put the shortcomings under my thumb. The environments are really good, and the cutscenes (not even my thing) are amazing! The whipping combat may entertain you for a while, but it doesn't balance out the bad platforming sections. It took me a while to even understand what buttons and directions to enable in order to get my sorry kiester across the many cliffs you'll run into.
Summary: I got this game b/c I thought it was going to be kinda like the castlevanias on the Nintendo 64 which were loads of fun. I would rather play them than this new (Castlevania Lords of Shadow) on PS3. When I looked at the previews for this game I was so excited b/c it looked like the castlevanias on Nintendo 64 except more updated and better graphics. They made it look so good. Its NOT!!! Im not empressed at all!!!
Summary: This game is nearly identical to those of the God of War series. It has similar controls, similar combos, similar fights, similar puzzles, and similar death animations. I liked God of War and I like this game, but it is simply too repetitive. A lot of hack-n-slashing, There are a few cool combos and different ways to kill people, but when it comes down to it, all you have to push is square and triangle and things die.
Summary: I am not really a big fan of God of War III (although I've completed it), and Castlevania is very similar to that game. Sure visuals and combos are different, so I guess some people prefer this over GoW. To me, they both are beautifully rendered (at the fixed camera angle), very linear and scripted (read: boring) adventures with cricket-like unlimited-stamina protagonists with chain-link weapon slash grapple. I personaly would rather replay levels in Demon's Souls .
