Lords of Frustration

w r e c k l e s s, Amazon
1 August 2015
  • Summary: “Lords of Shadow 2,” an action game in the vein of “Devil May Cry,” starts out competently enough during its early moments, giving you hope, but slowly over the course of its dozen + hours did I finally lose all patience with it.

No action, no magic, no blocking. No fun.

spgilmore, Amazon

  • Summary: I can't believe I'm voting one star on a Castlevania game. I'm a huge fan of the Castlevania franchise since the original NES game. I played the LOS trailer and liked it so much that I immediately bought it. I've played it for years and love it. This one... not so much.

Dracula and Alucard special

Richie, Amazon
20 June 2015
  • Summary: the game is challenging at times but entertaining. i enjoyed it. the graphics are great and there were minimal freezes or glitches(froze once but resume play after a few seconds). game-play is similar to the 1st lords of shadow with plenty of cut-scenes.

Puzzlevania: Lords of Platforming

The Last J, Amazon
10 June 2015
  • Summary: Mirror of fate is actually the best one which is just enough puzzle and just enough platforming to balance the game. Takes place between 1 and 2. Lords of shadow 1 is very intriguing story wise yet becomes aggravating as you go further due to astronomical amounts of puzzle solving and platforming...

While i enjoyed the game

GuardLK "Banana Phone!", Amazon
20 May 2015
  • Summary: While i enjoyed the game, i feel that was stretched in the middle just to make it longer, and that doesnt really help. The beginning third and the ending are a joy, the rest not so much.

Fall short from its predecessor

Petros Koutoupis "Petros Koutoupis", Amazon
9 May 2015
  • Summary: I was sort of disappointed with the overall plot of this installment. The first Lords of Shadow was unique both in story and gameplay. Lords of Shadow 2 seems to ride the coattails of its predecessor and falls short from it.

Solid and Fun Game

MurphysLaw, Amazon
6 May 2015
  • Summary: I waited to purchase this game mostly due to the negative reviews but finally picked up a copy. While I will agree with some that the stealth portions of the game can be a bit tedious, they tend to be short and far between so I don't think they really detract from the game.

... have been a fan of the long-series struggle between good and evil

Amazon Customer, Amazon
10 April 2015
  • Summary: Always have been a fan of the long-series struggle between good and evil, in much better graphics, which rivals full HD quality. Storyline is ever-intriguing as the first title on the NES.

User Review

BaronMonaco, Metacritic
6 April 2015
  • Summary: Very nice game, I was a little bit afraid knowing that it was ported from the 3DS, but they did a very good job to make it in HD and actually feel like a PSN game (for 15€/$, I wasn't expecting more), the game offers a great story that feels the gap between Lords of Shadow 1 & 2, in facts I would...
