Enjoyable FPS game With A Western Cowboy Flair But At The End Just A Regular FPS As Well
3 December 2011
Summary: Call of Juarez is a nice mix of Grand Theft Auto meets the wild west as you play either Ray or Thomas McCall former soldiers of the Confederate army but now outlaws looking to strike it rich. The game animation and effects are very good and the game feels a little like the movie American Outlaw which brings it a nice touch, but still after you play through a level you also just feel like it's a standard FPS game as well nothing really new but nothing to horrible either.
Summary: Call of Juarez is a bargain-priced gem. The misadventures of the McCall brothers from the Civil War to the their quest for gold and glory in Mexico is a thrilling ride with countless scenes and showdowns. A truly enjoyable shooter, it looks great and contains its share of surprises. The graphics are superb and the range of weaponry is fantastic and sometimes difficult. So many options come from playing the game through either one of the main characters.
Summary: I first have to say I bought this game COJ ,just before I played Red Dead Redemption for ps3(on a Rental). The price was right compared to the RDR game.Anyways I did manage to beat both games. And thus the comparison is more close to want I truly fealt towards either. After playing RDR for 7 days straight and being totally exhausted.I have no interest in playing it again. The deuling part sucked!
Summary: Gameplay is fun, there is better out there now, but but this still keeps up. Timeline is set at the end of the Civil War so it's a nice change of pace with different weapons. My only issue with this game, is the first day I played it, the game just froze on me, and I had shut off the PS3, TWICE. But it never happened again. Plus, it gets a little annoying during "Checkpoints" instead of just setting a checkpoint in the flow of the game, there is a 1-2 second freeze.
Summary: When I first played this game I thought it was the best western game I had. Even though the graphics were a bit low even with blu-ray it still has the great suspense of a real western movie. It had the shooting, the guns, and especially the girls. The game is great! Playing as the McCall Brothers has really great parts about it. (Please excuse. If you don't want to here spoilers, don't read this paragraph.) Thomas McCall Is agile.

Summary: For $19.99 this is not a bad bargan. It is a fun game and has nice graphics. I thought it was kind of short. I played mostly as Ray except for the missions you had to use Thomas. I am still new to playing first person games but this one is supprisingly good. The story was decent. Nothing ground breaking. However I do like the way they tied the Christian themes in with there other brother.
Summary: If your a western fan you should probably check out this game, the story is good and the gameplay is smooth. I personally don't have a problem with the cover system as others have stated that they don't like it, but I will agree with one of the other reviews that the dynamites when thrown at you can be hard to find and dodge.
