Summary: Not only is the WWII genre game becoming a cliche, but this game makes it boring. It has very sluggish controls, bad voice acting, and tried too hard to be a video game version of Band of Brothers. It was worth one play through....maybe. Nothing more though.
Summary: Frankly I was a little disappointed with this game. I remember playing it on the PC when the series first came out and absolutely loved it. However... being a military guy myself I found much of my earlier enthusiasm curbed significantly when I bought this for my PS3. The game's story is excellent but there seems to be a little too much drama and emotion cooked up to attempt to draw the player into the "reality" of WWII. Everything is so melodramatic.
Summary: I'll skip the graphics discussion of Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (BiA:HH), and get right to some gameplay observations: The cinematic cut scenes start the game and are supposed to get you involved in the story. They hardly seem worth the effort that someone put into them, and I never really cared about the characters. Luckily, they are usually short. There has been some effort to give the missions historical settings in Holland.
Summary: Not sure what happened to this title, the graphics were always good, but theres a lot of problems with the particle effects. The ai are pretty dumb compared to the other series. The sound is good, but game play could of been better. I dont expect great graphics, but these graphics are pretty poor and I use HDMI. I'll place this copy on sale and get the PC version instead.
Summary: Brothers in Arms Hells Highway is a complete disapointment in nearly all sectors of the game. From a boring unintresting storyline, to poor graphics, to medicore gun sounds. This game is just bad. Not the worst but mostly bad. The Graphics are like a PS2 game from 2004. Pop in textures are very common through out the game. The gun sounds are medicore, nothing intresting. Boring dialouge and low volume. The enemy AI is just very bad and your squad AI is even worse.
Excerpt: "For anybody not familiar with Brothers In Arms, they are a series of WW2 first person shooters that aim to depictthe reality of war. Where Call of Duty succeeded in providing spectacular set pieces Brothers In Arms asks more than simply working your way down a predetermined path. The previous games were set in the more well told period for the 101st Airborne and Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood cover the Airborne's movements from the D-Day landings ...
Pros: Good compelling story, loyal to historical setting, sound
Cons: Graphical finish is poor, boring gameplay, questionable AI
Summary: The game was possibly a little above average for a war game but the story was poor, not well thought out, too long and dull and the characters were forgetable and it just lessened the gaming experiance.
Summary: Considering the amount of time that this game has been in production and the hype over the past few years, I was expecting great things. As a fan of the original games in this series, I purchased an Xbox 360 primarily for this game. However, that was almost 3 years ago. During the wait, I burned out 4 Xboxes and eventually defected to the PS3 camp. When the game was finally released, I had it pre-ordered from Amazon.
