If you have the time then put it into this game!

Excerpt: Borderlands is a type of space western shooter RPG hybrid so it would have been easy for Gearbox to fail at making this game. Borderlands takes a Diablo style loot system and thrusts it on to a planet called Pandora which changes seasons about every 10 years.
Excerpt: Have played this solo and altho kinda fun, it isn't the laugh riot that co op is. My friend and I are really enjoying playing through it splitscreen. If I had to give some advice I would say to play through as Roland (the soldier), as his abilities just seem much more useful than the others.
Summary: This game is a great experiment which went pretty well, it's a solid shooter with a pleasing amount of carnage to be had, the RPG element is understated and allows you create an individual character and level them up as you see fit and the graphics are a master class in how cell shading should be...
Summary: Lots of guns, gore and running around. The game is nicely balanced in terms of difficulty and rewards, encouraging the "just one more try" experience. Some boss types are hard to kill and the means is not always obvious, but there are plenty of online hints available.
Summary: I got this game the day it came out (the original version not the GOTY version) and I have never been able to say this before but, this game helped get me through the crushing pain that was my girlfriend leaving me. I know it was nearly 4 years ago, but damnit that girl was a keeper.
