Conclusion: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" they say, and even though such endeavors in today's gaming world will earn you more lawsuits than gratitude, the truth is, ripping off ideas from existing intellectual properties plays a big part in how the gaming industry evolves. Case in point: Bizarre Creations' Blur, a game that gives a nod to Mario Kart and it's legions of knock-offs, all while biting its thumb in their general direction.
Pros: Excellent Presentation Balanced list of power ups and weapons Tons of vehicles to unlock Navigating the chaos is super fun
Cons: Virtually non-existent music Sliding into turns is dicey Inconsistent difficulty curve at times
Summary: I really thought at first I was making a mistake by choosing this game over split second. I did get this game on sale for 39.99 so I figured i wouldnt lose out. This game is definately worth the money and is fun in multiplayer mode. The cars have great looks and I have this for PS3 and played it on xbox and the ps3 version is a lil smoother around the edges but the right trigger from the xbox makes for better comfort.
Summary: this is a fun game. it has amazing cars but is very very very hard. never such crrrrraaaaaaazy online racingi have ever experienced. it also has 4 player split screen wich is handy. its very realistic. except possibly blowing the hell out of everyone witha massive red ball of destructio. or magically repairing a car. or even having a forcefield that blocks the red ball killy thing. its he hardest game i've ever played so its not going to be over in 2 and a halve days.
Summary: I played this game orginally in a local pub that had PS3's. To my suprise i really enjoyed it, racing against my friend and other computer controlled opponents at the same time as using a variety of weapons to get yourself into first position. Throughout, you pick up weapons on the track to fire your way to victory. As soon as you get to grips with all the weapons and how and when to use them....the game begins, and becomes a real challenge when playing with friends.
Summary: This game is great for those poeple who aren't so bothered about the horse power of the car and what line to take on the track. Its for people who pick a car on what it looks like and thats me. as long as it looks cool i dont care. The graphics in this game are amazing and the gameplay is so much fun hitting the correct ramps and using the powerups on the track. The gameplay does get boring after playing a few races but its highly addictive.
Summary: All i can say is one of the best racing games I have payed. Different to the normal games like NFS or Dirt, but i think thats why it is so refreshing. If you like Rumble Racing on PS2, then you will love this game!!!
