Summary: This game has taken the PS3 to the next level and shows what this system is capable of with the right innovators with great attention to detail. Graphics are beautiful, making you feel like your right there experiencing it hands on. Storyline is astonishing with amazing history and historical missions. Gameplay is spot on letting the user be a youngster or a retired war veteran picking up a controller and going to town.
Summary: If you like planes and the WW2 era don't pass this game up. I played IL2: forgotten battles for a long time on PC and this game feels like it shares a lot of its DNA with that game. As it should 1C maddox helped make it. It has every plane worth talking about from WW2. The graphics are fantastic, theres a ton of detail every wear from the cockpits and planes all the way down to the ground.
Summary: I bought this game from Amazon UK but it arrived from Canada. Problem is while it plays on a UK PS3 the disc is region 1 USA so when i downloaded add ons like the Battle of Britain missions from the play station store they are incompatible with this version. Answer is to download the game from the play station store via your PS3. Save £10 and it will automatically be compatible with any add ons you also download later from the same region store. I wasted my money.
Summary: The best PS3 game you've never heard of! A real gem of a game, deserves to be better known. I ordered Birds of Steel after falling in love with the playable demo I stumbled on in the PS Store. I was looking for an alternative to my games of choice - Pro Evo, Tiger Woods, GTA, COD, and F1. When i got Birds of Steel I played nothing else for a few months, it is utterly absorbing, if you like a challenge you will love this.
