Birds of Steel Review

GamerNode
23 May 2012
  • Excerpt: A plethora of games use the theater of war as their centerpieces, relying solely on the battles fought by ground troops. With first-person shooters still on the rise thanks to Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Halo, it’s no wonder why the trend has continued for over the past decade. It’s rare then, when a developer decides to tell the story of conflict through navies or aerial forces.
  • Pros: Enjoyable combat, Mission editor and unlocks add longevity, Visual touches like anti-air shells add great ambiance
  • Cons: Unsatisfying competitive multiplayer, Aimless flying for minutes on end, Nothing truly wows

Birds of Steel

Digital Chumps
6 April 2012
  • Conclusion: Birds of Steel had real potential. It had the visuals, the historical missions and the online co-op and head-to-head action. The controls pretty much ruined the experience. A little bit more work on those and this game is up there with the IL-2's of the world.

Review - Birds of Steel

Game.ie
20 March 2012
  • Summary: Flying. It’s the shit, am I right folks? Honestly, what’s not to love? The speed. The freedom. The scope. There’s just one problem... Though I REALLY want to like flight simulators, I just don’t. I reckon the bulk of gamers might echo these sentiments too. And for this reason alone, many gamers won’t enjoy Birds of Steel . I didn’t, not really. But as a flight sim, it’s actually rather spiffing! In Birds of Steel, Planes fly less good without both wings.

Birds of Steel: alla fine, è un simulatore o no?

gamemag.it
19 May 2012

Test : Birds of Steel (PS3)

Gamekult.com
30 March 2012

Birds of Steel - Test Xbox 360

Krinein
13 March 2012
